Azalin
9th Circuit said it was. 9th Circuit is full of ****, of course, for a decision that, in assuming that anyone coming from those countries must be Muslim, is inherently racist. But it's what they decided. I realize they said that, but anyone who has a shred of objectivity knows a moratorium when they see one. The 9th circuit may as well put on their pink kitty hats and join the hysterical crown in the streets for all the good they're doing.
DC Tom
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, "We don't believe Trump really meant to put the RNK on the list, ergo we know it's an unconstitutional restriction religious freedom." More like "We know, based on Trump's campaign statements, that he's only putting NK on the list to avoid us ruling it unconstitutional...therefore, it's unconstitutional." I realize they said that, but anyone who has a shred of objectivity knows a moratorium when they see one. The 9th circuit may as well put on their pink kitty hats and join the hysterical crown in the streets for all the good they're doing. The executive order had a lot of problems as issued and implemented. The 9th Circus picked one of the least problematic but most easily understood and inflammatory. And there's still people being turned back from flights. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/feb/20/british-muslim-teacher-denied-entry-to-us-on-school-trip Because, little-known fact: a visa doesn't give you the right to enter the US, it gives you the right to petition to enter the US. CBP can still deny you entry for any reason, no matter how trivial or contrived. grinreaper
If Paul Ryan submits what's been reported as "the skinny budget", which is code for austerity, does Trump buckle? Trump ran on an economic populist platform. He needs to remember he lost by 2.8 million votes, and his entire victory was based on a 78,500 margin in the states of WI, MI & PA. Those people didn't sign up for economic austerity. They want to get to work building infrastructure and to rebuild the manufacturing sector of the American economy. Trump must balance the deficit hawks and his constituents who voted for him to actually deliver on his campaign promises. It will take more than executive orders to make these people happy. No, he won by over 70 votes.

And you're absolutely right about visas, what they grant, and their restrictions. I spent the better part of three years and an awful lot of money on an immigration/visa case - most people don't realize the extent of the conditions and restrictions involved, which makes the issue perfect fodder for riling people up. Like the end of the movie "Insurrection" when Mathew Bodine throws the books at his daughter because he was mad he didn't get to bang Anne Hathaway? grinreaper
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/february_2017/most_say_democrats_hurt_themselves_with_anti_trump_strategy Most voters agree that it’s bad for America and bad for the Democratic Party if Democrats continue to flat out oppose everything President Trump does. Even Democrats are conflicted about their party’s scorched earth policy. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 29% of all Likely U.S. Voters think it’s better for the country if Democrats oppose the president in every way possible. Sixty-three percent (63%) say it’s better for the country if Democrats try to work with the president instead. (To see survey question wording, click here.) The findings are identical when voters are asked about the impact of the Democrats’ reported strategy on the fortunes of their own party. Just 29% say it’s better for the Democratic Party if Democrats oppose the president in every way possible. Sixty-three percent (63%) disagree and think it’s better for the party if Democrats try to work with Trump. Forty-four percent (44%) of Democrats feel it’s better for both the country and their party if they oppose the new president as much as possible. But 46% say it’s better for America if Democrats try to work with Trump, and 45% say it’s better for their party, too. (Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook. The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on February 26-27, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. ExiledInIllinois
Fixed it for you. Run for the tin foil! Still scandal laiden. Stop blaming problems on others and take responsibility, be accountable. Isn't that a Republican narrative? Accountability? We literally now have a POTUS that actually belongs in Grade 2 that is directly saying: "I am rubber you are glue, what bounces off me, sticks to YOU!" And a controlling minority of people actually approve of the message! Hillary Bad! Trump Good Like all internet trolls... Why are people feeding him? Because he HAS the power of the free-world. We are in one heck of a mess! Not even 60 days in and he had done more than the Coolidge admin when it comes to scandalous behavior!

Just the social media is being spun down the sewer to the long term detriment of the nation. That is what worries me. Then you've had a lifetime of worry. Both parties have been contributing to the long term detriment of the nation for short term political gains for decades, and the left has doubled down on that strategy since the election. So forgive me for not getting all worked up about the latest "OMG, Trump said blahblahblah!!" outrage of the day.
