CodeMonkey Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Jamie Collins got a 3rd in the last year of his deal. And he was a pro bowler... not a back up who started 4 games. Qb or not that price seems high Not when you look at the teams that need QBs and the shortage of decent ones out there as well as the ones coming out. For QBs, it is a sellers market.
Bill from NYC Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 For QBs, it is a sellers market. It really is CM. Teams like the Pats often have qbs to use as backups and then trade. They enter the draft with lots of picks and a sound plan. These are things that will never happen with Whaley, who prefers to toss away draft choices like they were Frisbees.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Tyrod, romo, foles, even kaepernick... is aj better than any of them? He's played a couple more games than jimmy g and didn't look as good. There are rookies that come with longer contract control. All 4 of the guys above come with additional control once they're signed
C.Biscuit97 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 The hype this dude gets is unreal. I mean he did win a national championship at Alabama. I mean that takes a super special qb! He is a solid backup who will be exposed big one if he has to play extended time. His play and the Bengals' dumbness were the reason Cincy didn't go to a SB a year ago. Dalton was playing like a MVP before he got hurt.
