H2o Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 After Dunne's latest tweet it made me think of the possibilities. What if they bring back Fitzpatrick? He fits the bill of potentially being a "low-cost veteran QB" https://twitter.com/TyDunne/status/832669037544955904
FireChan Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) I think he's too prideful to do so but I'd rather him than TT. Edited February 17, 2017 by FireChan
KollegeStudnet Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) I would welcome him IF they are considering a QB early in the draft. Comes at a reasonable price. Loves the area. Smart guy, could make a great mentor for up and commers. But, that is IF they go the Veteran QB while the young guy learns route. I could see him starting, but more holding the clipboard and assisting as a backup-- Overall, couldn't find a better guy! He offers a lot. He has bounced around the league and has learned from different schemes. Fitz could be an asset in the development of our next QB, would be great in the film room and showing the ropes to our next QB. Edited February 17, 2017 by KollegeStudnet

BillsFanInJax Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 No. Clean Break From Fitz, Orton, Losman, and every other retread the Bills have rolled through the door in the last 10 years.

I like Fitz and think he's an ideal vet backup but I look at the beard and see 6-10.

I remember in an ESPN interview with Jim Kelly years ago that Jim said, "you have to love the city you play for." Fitz would make a great teacher for the next guy. I think he's been one of the last QB's since Kelly that actually loved his time here. Overall, I don't want Fitz to start at all. But, I would love to see him mentor someone in the Red, White and Blue and install some of that heart. I couldn't fathom a Hoyer or McCown type here. Edited February 17, 2017 by KollegeStudnet
BuffaloRebound Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 If we take a QB in the 1st round, I think we bring in a Fitz, McCown, Hoyer type.
PromoTheRobot Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 FitzMojo means Taylor would get injured and Fitz becomes your starter.
26CornerBlitz Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Only a glutton for punishment would want Fitzpatrick back with the Bills.
H2o Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Not saying I want him back by any means, but coming off a crap year in NY he should definitely be one of the lower cost vets out there. You never know what Whaley will do. I will still stand pat in my thought that we end up with Jay Cutler, but this move would not be surprising at all.
TSOL Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 This is really the most annoying off season ever
