The Russia Hoax As Contingency Plan
American Thinker, by Mark Wauck

Original Article

Remember, back in August, 2016, when Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were obsessively texting one another? One exchange went something like, well, exactly like this: "[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!" Page texted Strzok. "No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it," Strzok responded.

Fast forward a couple of years and for reasons best known to themselves Ben Rhodes and Jen Psaki have decided to reveal to New York Magazine that the Russia Hoax was a key part of the Obama Administration´s -- and presumably the Clinton campaign´s -- contingency plan to, well, steal an election

Wait for the press to spin this one:

Of course, for years Russia has been violating this treaty, with the full knowledge of previous administrations. Withdrawing from it is the prudent move to protect American interests and NATO's...

I imagine that won't be the story when this inevitably gets picked up by the mainstream.

Could end up an expensive arms race or a new treaty. I'm thinking Putin will choose arms race.Reagan won that race but with conventional.

Putin doesn't have the economic resources to engage in a meaningful arms race.

Were he to try, we still have the ability to pump out a lot more shale oil to depress the price of oil - his major revenue stream.

Our ultimate weapon.

Is all the evidence in?

Are they set to Impeach President Trump yet?

They can't impeach Trump until civility is restored and civility can't be restored until the Dems win the House and the Dems can't win the house until they convince America that winning is bad for the country.

Decided to go through this thread because I haven't heard about Russia in a while.  I don't think anybody on here is saying Russia didn't try to influence the election as their ability to spread fake news through twitter, facebook, and other social media platforms have become more sophisticated.  Just that there's been no hard evidence up to this point that Trump colluded with the Russians (I'll wait for Mueller's report to come out).  If anything, the Russian probe has maybe pushed the Trump administration to take a harder stance with Russia.

Of course they tried to interfere in our election, just as they have every election since pretty much forever; just as we actively try to influence the elections of other countries.

Are you completely new to geo-politics?

Tell me Mr. Trump detractor, who had all the Czars? When you figure that one out Comrade, then you'll know who colluded with the Russkies.

It doesn't seem like it, despite your choice of quoting me.

Did you mean to quote someone else?

Pretty sure that most people accept that yes, in fact, Russia DID purchase advertising on Facebook and post memes in an attempt to influence the more soft-headed of the electorate.

Personally, as you'd have to have been sealed in a barrel for 20 years to have not had an opinion on Trump or Hillary before the primaries even started, I think this...

russian-propaganda.png

...was largely ineffective.  If it was, if anyone was so clueless as to be influenced by something like this, then democracy is dead anyway.

That first post was, you, right?

Yes, I'm responding to what you said.

No one has ever intimated that Russia didn't try to interfere in our elections.

I mean, the media and the political left has tried to manufacture a narrative that President Trump doesn't think they tried to interfere, which is wholly untrue, and part of their larger strategy to frame the President in order to stage a coup attempt and delegitimize him, but literally no one believes the Russians didn't try to interfere.
