Tiberius Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Microsoft finds more Russian run hacking operations. Perhaps this is what Trump and Putin talked about at their summit https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/microsoft-says-it-has-found-a-russian-operation-targeting-us-political-institutions/2018/08/20/52273e14-a4d2-11e8-97ce-cc9042272f07_story.html?utm_term=.191d6c3200b5 SAN FRANCISCO — A group affiliated with the Russian government created phony versions of six websites — including some related to public policy and to the U.S. Senate — with the apparent goal of hacking into the computers of people who were tricked into visiting, according to Microsoft, which said Monday night that it discovered and disabled the fake sites. The effort by the notorious APT28 hacking group, which has been publicly linked to a Russian intelligence agency and actively interfered in the 2016 presidential election, underscores the aggressive role Russian operatives are playing ahead of the midterm congressional elections in the United States. U.S. officials have repeatedly warned that the November vote is a major focus for interference efforts. Microsoft said the sites were created over the past several months, and that the company was able to catch them early, as they were being set up. It did not go into more specifics. Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit, which is responsible for the company’s response to email phishing schemes, took the lead role in finding and disabling the sites, and the company is launching an effort to provide expanded cybersecurity protection for campaigns and election agencies that use Microsoft products.

B-Man Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Uh-huh...... Quote Quin Hillyer @QuinHillyer FollowFollow @QuinHillyer I actually challenge you and others to show examples of media hysterically promoting the idea of "collusion." Most talk of "collusion" came from you, Byron and others denying that it existed -- as if chasing collusion is the point of the probe. It's not. It's Russian interference 7:22 AM - 27 Aug 2018 , Quote Byron YorkVerified account @ByronYork FollowFollow @ByronYork Byron York Retweeted Quin Hillyer Enough of this, Quin. You know, or should know, media has discussed issue possible 'collusion' nearly nonstop. Quick Nexis search for 'Trump,' 'Russia,' and 'collusion' since 11/8/16: 2,250 mentions in WP, 1,091 in NYT, uncounted thousands on cable TV. .Amazing. They used "collusion"as the Hail Mary pass to get the Mueller probe. Now, w/no evidence of collusion to show, they pretend it was never an issue. It was the same w/the dossier. One day the dossier was everything; the next, nothing.......... "Why are you fixated on the dossier?" 2

Deranged Rhino Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 If you rank Trump (allegedly) lying about the Trump Tower meeting as being anywhere close to equal in terms of a threat to the country as a dishonest/crooked/infiltrated intelligence community, chances are you're not a serious person. 3
