Funny how the Dems were cool with Russia when they were communists. Now that they're merely a moderately authoritarian republic they are the enemy.

No crap

Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger warned that President Donald Trump's apparent reluctance to address Russia's meddling in U.S. elections is a "huge problem," raising his concerns about some of the commander-in-chief's foreign policy.

Kinzinger, who represents Illinois and is a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard, had previously voiced his disagreementwith Trump's actions towards Ukraine that led to the president's impeachment last week. While the GOP congressman inevitably voted "no" on both Articles of Impeachment brought by Democrats in the inquiry, he noted that this does not mean he doesn't have differences with the president on some key foreign policy issues during an interview with CNN on Saturday evening.

The congressman asserted: "I think it's a huge problem."

"I think the big problem is this: when the faith in democracy is undermined, when you don't think your vote counts or when you think somebody else is influencing the outcome," Kinzinger explained, "that's really dangerous."

What's the problem? It's completely unpossible that the Democrats will lose bigly in 2020 due to their insane policies, alienation of large voter blocks, and unlikable candidates. Their loss will clearly be due to Russian interference in the form of a few hundred thousand dollars' worth of Facebook ads.

Interesting that Obama's reluctance to address Russia's meddling in US Elections in 2016 wasn't a "huge problem."

Boy, Trump is really in Putin's pocket. How did I miss that the new defense bill Trump signed last week calls for sanctions on any company participating on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline (the one being laid from Russia to Germany in the Baltic to avoid paying billions to the Ukraine in transit fees)? On Saturday, Allseas, a Swiss construction company, suspended pipelaying work ahead of those sanctions.

It's all part of Putin's plan... or something.

Well, I guess Trump has Florida wrapped up as a win. Long article about an election systems company that operates in a bunch of states, but all over Florida.

Mark Earley, the current elections supervisor for Leon County in Florida, acknowledged that if hackers were to obtain log-in credentials for the VR Systems administrators, or for county election officials, they could “potentially do some damage” and change results.
