I know that we say this about every FA (Bills or otherwise), but he really is a perfect fit for them.

He can block, run precise routes, and he competes

And they have cap room because Brady takes a discount.

But they'd better not expect YAC.

Woods is definitely a nice fit in NE, but I don't see them paying him his market value in FA if they keep Edelman. Hogan, amendola and Mitchell. They also have Michael Floyd they can re-sign and options in the draft like Ryan Switzer that would fit like a glove for cheap. They also need to address their other TE spot because Martellus is a FA and they traded AJ Derby last year.

They are going to release Amendola and they made a sneaky pickup in Housler.

i didn't hear about the Amendola release. Housler is badddd but I'm sure he will be better there than he was in Cleveland. You think they will pony up the big deal for Woods?

I don't actually. Some dumb franchise like the Rams, Chargers or Redskins will overpay him. I could see Lynn making Woods a priority because he knows the offense and is a great run blocker. Woods would probably love to return to SoCal.

To be fair, the QBs and receiving routes that Woods has had, doesn't exactly favor YAC. Not that Woods is a great athlete in that regard, but still... those numbers are skewed by playing here.

Meh. As BADOL says, Woods has skates for feet with the ball in his hands.

i could absolutely see him with the Chargers but they have cap issues and they are running Whisenhunt's offense, not Roman's that Lynn was running. That said, he's a great fit with Rivers and could fill the role there that Stevie never did because he kept getting hurt. KA, tyrell Williams and Woods is niiiiice.

But he'll likely get more from Rams or even Niners (hella cap space) - though I doubt he wants either QB situation with those teams.

I don't think the Pats dish out any serious money at WR. They have a fair amount of guys headed to FA that will need to be resigned. Ryan and Hightower are both going to get overpaid by someone.
