The Giants' search for a left tackle has intensified. Although the Giants and Rams reportedly have discussed a trade involving OLT Orlando Pace. If that trade falls through, as expected, the Giants are expected to turn their attention to either the Bills' Jonas Jennings or Green Bay's Mike Wahle. Though Wahle played left guard last season, more than one scout has told PFW that Wahle could move out to tackle successfully. The Giants are leery of going hard after Jennings, fearing that the market for his services could get out of control with Walter Jones and Pace off the free-agent market. They also have discussed the Cardinals' L.J. Shelton, who is on the trading block, but the Giants appear long shots for his services. Among the college ranks, the team has done its homework at the Senior Bowl on Ole Miss OT Marcus Johnson, Eli Manning's college teammate and a four-year starter who might fit in perfectly as the Giants' second-round pick.

Deal with the Rams supposedly is Strahan for Pace even up but Ernie Accorsi sez the cap implications are huge.... lots of versions.... Petigout and Allen for Pace too.
