cale Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Some of you might already be aware. But the Pegulas also own a record label, Black River Entertainment here in Nashville. One of their artists - Kelsea Ballerini is a Grammy nominee this year. The CEO of the company is from Fairport and is Kim Pegula's brother. http://www.tennessean.com/story/entertainment/music/2015/10/31/black-river-entertainment-rises-music-row-underdog/74289378/ http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2016/06/21/black-river-entertainment-gives-pse-unique-mix/86144428/ At any rate, someone to root for at this year's Grammys. Best. Charles
Augie Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 She lived in the apartment literally next door to my son in Nashville. Nice loft style place. You could hear her music from the hallway but not in the unit. Hung out at the pool and seemed very nice. Hoping she continues her trajectory!

Best. Charles Rooting for someone to win a Grammy because they're on a record label owned by a guy who also happens to own your favorite football team without being a fan of their music (I'm assuming) is a bit of a stretch. Just my opinion.

Just my opinion.Well, if you saw her at the pool talking to your son (who happened to be with his fiancé), it's a no-brainier! Actually, as long as the Bills stay in Buffalo, I'm cool with wishing the Pegula's well in most fields. I hope their daughter breaks out in tennis too! Maybe I'm just easy.... Just my opinion. man, the real metzelaars was way more optimistic - you also assume a lot of things. And you know what that makes you? ;-) Kelsea is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Also one of the cheeriest. Not that that's hard to find here in Nash. Her music is pretty cool and was one of the vanguard in the female revival in country music (ie. the tomato debate - look it up). We've done business with her management company who are also good people and a great hang. If you can't root for people deserving of success, then what the hell? But you have yourself a nice day, Scrooge. C
Wayne Arnold Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I'm guessing her voice is much better for the environment than one or two of Terry's other business ventures.
pkwwjd Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I know Gordon (Kim's brother). Very cool guy, talented musician himself. Some of you might already be aware. White Linen Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 It's gonna be a long off season... Yeah we should shorten it by talking about Tyrod or Whaley.

YoloinOhio Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Thanks for letting me know the Grammys were on. I had to tear myself away from the all-day Patriots SB marathon on NFLN
cale Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 She was up against Chance. He was the runaway favorite. And rightly so. Still Kelsea has a bright future.
