What about the videos all over the World Wide Web that show these qb's making the throws Taylor can't ?

Were those doctored by the agents too ? Another sad attempt by another Taylor superfan to discredit any upgrade/competition.

127 and 156. Ooooooooh weeeeeee !

OVERTHEMIDDLE !!!!

Why would Sammy Watkins want to catch a slant pattern in stride. Sounds too easy.

No, let's just throw the go and curl routes.

I was initially against the idea of drafting this kid. Watching his highlights though...... I would be open to taking him 2-4th round if we stockpile a few picks trading down/back.

Its not a bad take. The question is, if you take Mahomes in the 2nd, are you gonna start him year 1 or let him learn from the pine while learning to not let that back leg move like a wacky waving inflatable arm flaling tube man?

Whomever takes Mahomes needs to bring him along slowly. He shouldn't see the field for at least a year. From what I'm hearing at the moment he's more highly thought of by front office personnel than by most media people. Look for him to be a "late riser" on draft boards as the media catches up. He probably won't be there for the Bills in the second round. He would likely require a move up.

College highlights soundtracks always crack me up. It's either the worst rap you've ever heard or is some red bull hoobastank sounding white kid singing about rebellion.

So you start watching, then realize you thankfully have a volume button and turn it down to 1.

But seriously Mahomes could be Ryan Leaf or Philip Rivers with that cannon. His throwing motion is twice as fast as Jim Kellys on his best day.

I say he goes early 2nd, if we want him we'd need to wheel and deal before the morning of day 2, figure out who would take him ahead of us and get in front of them.

Big fat NO to McCown... He'll light it up in TC, -Catch Whaley's eye, and the BAM! -He's our starter in Sept... -We'll be 4th place in the division by Halloween ...Sorry... Been there... -F__ that...

You obviously missed the entire point of the message. I'm certainly not advocating for McCown but merely suggesting that if we choose to go with young quarterback prospects, a vet in camp would be helpful.

Right, or a trade down from #10 into the late teens or early 20s depending on what teams go for between 10 and 20, or like you said, which I prefer, trading up in the 2nd.

Taking a top S or WR at 10 and then trading up in the 2nd to get Mahomes would not piss me off at all.

Mahomes is not a 1 year starter. Trubisky is and I think you see it on his tape.

We would have to trade up to take Bisky. Theres no way hes there at 10. If we made that move this forum would explode.

Im watching a Mahomes 2016 highlight video...and I don't get it. He looks terrible. At just 1 min into a 6 min video, every TD is either an awful throw off his back foot to a WR that makes a big play to either catch a TD or get to the end zone...or its to a guy who is so wide open my grandma could complete a pass. I have yet to see him make one quality NFL throw.

As the video continues to play he finally makes a couple nice throws that are not off his back foot, however, the bulk of them are still of his back foot and showing just awful foot work and bad mechanics. This is the kind of play that leads to lots of interceptions in the NFL.

I don't get the fascination with this guy, I feel like he has the potential to easily have the worst career of all the top 4 guys in this draft. Someone is going to have to do a LOT of work with him to succeed in the NFL...doesnt mean he can't, but I would not want to use a high pick on a kid whose has serious issues throwing off his back foot which if that persists in the NFL will have him out of the NFL quickly. I feel like this kid has a better chance to be Blaine Gabbert in the NFL than a quality QB. Mid to late round pick, sure, why not...2nd or 1st just isnt worth it. I feel like he would be a mid-rounder in most drafts at best but in this weak class his stock is elevated.

Waldman and Schofield both completely disagree with you. Either this guy is just placing the ball perfectly or dumb luck...

Anticipation Thrower, Everything you want to see in the pocket for the NFL, etc

By no means is my opinion the end all be all, just sharing my impressions of him. I just don't get the love affair some have, he seems like a high risk draft pick. The kid could very well prove my opinion wrong, but I don't watch his highlights and think "we need to draft this kid"...I see a prospect that looks like a lot of work and has mechanics issues.

I don't like any of these QB's as a top ten pick. I personally would roll with Mahomes over the others if the price was right. The things I watch when looking at QB prospects is how they handle pressure, accuracy, and pocket presence. Throw in a big arm and quick release and Mahomes jumps out for me.

There is a discussion as I said at 13:43 or so on the video where they explain how Mahomes unconventional footwork actually is preferred to get the ball out quickly in key situations. It's not like he is sloppy, he is doing this as an athlete to get the best result which impresses the hell out of me. Compare to shortstop in baseball that needs to get the ball quickly to 2nd for double play.

Add Voch Lombardi to that list...

Voch had me cracking up on his Mahomes video...He fully admits Mahomes could really care less about a lot of the finer details that he will get micro-analyzed on in the coming weeks...But he seemed to like Mahomes a lot... B-)

The problem with waiting for him in the second round is that there is a good chance he won't be there. There are numerous qb needy teams ahead of us that would also take him in the second round. If the organization is serious about him they should trade down in the first round and then select him. The history of the Bills when waiting for a targeted qb is that we get bypassed by a more enterprising team.

No they cannot. The Bills will be criticized by media and fans too much for trading up and reaching despite how market is.

It is same thing as tanking a year to give better draft position following year.

The same ones who advocate such strategies will spend entire season and off-season bashing Bills and spreading false rumors.

Despite claims about Bills fandom being one of the best in NFL it isn't - fans are far too venomous for anything long term.

Bills have become like corporations so worried about quarterly reports that long term planning is out the window,

lotta Cardale love in the poll thread - we got what we wanted and we're STILL bitching :D

It is what wallers do best.

Who said move up for any qb in this draft? You are manufacturing an issue that doesn't exist.

For once we are in agreement. That is what I see too. And you are right about his receivers beind wide open so often.

At nearly 33, never having played comptetitively and out of shape I think I am a better defensive back than half of the Big 12.

Do you think Bills could trade their first pick this year and 2nd next year for Browns 2nd this year and 1st next year take this guy at 2 and hope the Browns suck next year.

Trubisky and the 49ers makes the most sense. I could see Shanahan wanting to grab him at 2. Cleveland will probably take a defensive player at 1.

Agree with this.

I think there is a good chance you need to be at the backend of the 1st to get Mahomes but maybe.

In a scenario where Watson, Trubisky and the two receivers are gone I favour the Bills trading down. And for all I am not mad about Mahomes the kid is such a wildcard that if he comes off he comes off big. If they trade back 10 or 12 spots and want to tale him I won't hate it.

This draft is loaded with talent compared to last year. If we can get Mahomes and extra picks I will be very happy. Bills have tons of holes to fill at WR, Secondary, RT, etc
