FireChan Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 (edited) Can you imagine that 2015 season if they never signed Tyrod and went with Cassel or McCown. Lol. 5 or so wins and Rex would've been gone after one year. That would've been best case scenario, in hindsight. Edited February 8, 2017 by FireChan
John from Riverside Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 That would've been best case scenario, in hindsight. never gonna understand fans rooting for horrible losing seasons as if that has any real affect on turning into a winning organization
BuffaloFan68 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I like it: McCown, Mahomes & Cardale Go Bills!!!!!

John from Riverside Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 CC: Panthers and Colts, two horrible no good losing franchises. 2 teams out of 32 teams?
FireChan Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 2 teams out of 32 teams? All 32 teams are successful?
hondo in seattle Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I like it: McCown, Mahomes & Cardale Go Bills!!!!! I'd prefer Tyrod, McCown and Cardale. Go Bills!
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 (edited) I like it: McCown, Mahomes & Cardale Go Bills!!!!! Woof. Sounds like 3-13.... His teams have won 2 of his last 22 starts. 29 TDs and 22 INTs over that 3 season span. Edited February 8, 2017 by dneveu
quinnearlysghost88 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Pick him up, keep the other 3 current QBs, pick up two more in the draft and have a 6-QB hungry-games-style training camp.
YoloinOhio Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 (edited) I will stick with my prediction that they acquire nick foles as the backup/bridge guy, depending on what they do with TT, and draft one in the 1st two rounds (such as Mahomes). Edited February 8, 2017 by YoloinOhio

Nick Foles was transcendent in '13. Over 9 yards per attempt with a 27-2 TD to INT ratio. The rest of his career has been undistinguished. He must have thought 2013 was his breakout year and that he was well on his way to a good/great NFL career. Funny how things work out. I wouldn't be opposed, though, to the Bills picking him up if the price is right. Edited February 8, 2017 by hondo in seattle
Marty McFly Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Agree with both of you. Bringing in McCown would mean we are taking a QB high in the draft. Not what I want this team to do but, Im just a fan I dont run things at OBD. Bringing in McCown would signal a rebuild Just to be clear McCown would be coming with a rookie that they project as the starter in my scenario. Of course they may move on from Tyrod and start someone else. They still have to be able to sell it to the fans. Good luck selling McCown. A rookie...yes they could sell if they take a guy in the first round. A second round draft starter = no sale McCown = no sale
reddogblitz Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 You mean The great QB coming out next draft from that left coast school who hasnt had a QB play a single down in 51 consecutive Super Bowls? Then be suprised when it doesnt work out? Aaron Rodgers and Craig Morton were from "left coast" schools.
Rocky Landing Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Agree with both of you. Bringing in McCown would mean we are taking a QB high in the draft. Not what I want this team to do but, Im just a fan I dont run things at OBD. Bringing in McCown would signal a rebuild I think just about any reasonable scenario where they bring in someone like McCown would be as a replacement for EJ-- not necessarily a rebuild.
Marty McFly Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I think just about any reasonable scenario where they bring in someone like McCown would be as a replacement for EJ-- not necessarily a rebuild. Right, that would depend on what they do with Tyrod Taylor.
HT02 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I think the only way McCown makes sense is if Tyrod, Romo or a veteran like Cutler were starting. I would stil draft a QB and let him and Jones battle it out for the 3rd QB spot.
Mr. WEO Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I like it: McCown, Mahomes & Cardale Go Bills!!!!! Yikes!!! Why doesn't Cleveland just get a second franchise? Load the trucks Kim....
YoloinOhio Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 I think just about any reasonable scenario where they bring in someone like McCown would be as a replacement for EJ-- not necessarily a rebuild.i have said that same thing multiple times as well.
Mr. WEO Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 i have said that same thing multiple times as well. And who would be starter?
billykaykay Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Still a decent vet backup, which we need. And Whaley tried to get him 2 years ago before Cleveland outbid and he then traded for Cassel. http://m.clevelandbrowns.com/news/article-5/Browns-release-QB-Josh-McCown-and-DB-Tramon-Williams/8c4cf239-fd34-41bd-8d8f-a593a516259b I saw him play twice this year. He looked like a likely 3rd stringer. I would rather have a young kid on a rookie contract as my depth QB.
