yungmack Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I think it's classic overthinking/over-coaching/over-managing. Many decision makers (in baseball and football, anyway) get hung up on, "this guy got us here," or, "we got here playing like this." The leave pitchers in too long or pass the ball when they should run, etc. Often it's just best to rely on conventional wisdom. Personally, calling anything other than a Lynch run would have been an incorrect call. Go back and look at the stats on Lynch inside the 5 for starters.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) That defensive shell Atlanta was the worst turtle act since the Sabres against the Nordiques back in the early 1980s playoffs. I said to myself: "Self, are they really attempting this so far out or are the Pats** listening in?" Then when they pissed away the 2nd time out, I sensed a collapse. Was the hustle on. What was the issue with Matt Ryan's helmet and burning a time out? Edited February 7, 2017 by ExiledInIllinois
xsoldier54 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 It was just a football game. I had no rooting interest whatsoever. Great game.
