BuffaloHokie13 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Sounds like he's going to be released. What are the chances he decides to come to Buffalo by choice?
RyanC883 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Sounds like he's going to be released. What are the chances he decides to come to Buffalo by choice? we really are a QB away. Pare that with the fact we still have the #10 pick in the draft. Could grab Mike Williams or C. Davis. Then OT in round 2.

GoBills808 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I'm already saving up for my Romo Bills jersey! Forget "tanking" or "let's try to win in 5-7 years" Let's have fun this season! It'd be great for a season if for no other reason than we've forgotten what a QB is supposed to look like. Love me some Romo.
ndirish1978 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Small chance he signs here. You have to think that absent a team that's close to winning a championship he would at least go somewhere where he has a realistic shot of winning the division. We will not win the division til Brady retires.

FireChan Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Who are all these other teams that can win championships and divisions that need a QB? Houston/Denver but I think we can outspend them easily.
Maury Ballstein Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Houston/Denver but I think we can outspend them easily. Make it rain pegs. Let's try football with a real qb for once.
Andrew Son Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Houston/Denver but I think we can outspend them easily. I just don't think Houston is in the market with the Brock contract.
YoloinOhio Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I just don't think Houston is in the market with the Brock contract.imo Denver's OL would be a big turnoff. It's awful.
Andrew Son Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 imo Denver's OL would be a big turnoff. It's awful. Plus no semblance of a running game. I'm just not seeing how Buffalo wouldn't be considered a top option
YoloinOhio Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 It's also a question mark on how good their defense will be in Denver with Wade gone and a new scheme.
Andrew Son Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 It's also a question mark on how good their defense will be in Denver with Wade gone and a new scheme. It wasn't as great even last year. They lost a couple key pieces, a top LB and DT
aristocrat Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 he could go to houston if he takes a big pay cut. 1 year shot 5 mil and go for the sb
Andrew Son Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 he could go to houston if he takes a big pay cut. 1 year shot 5 mil and go for the sb I guess it's possible, but don't they have other cap issues beyond Brock? On the defense?
ndirish1978 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Bills have no WRs. Not sure this is a very attractive spot for him
Andrew Son Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Bills have no WRs. Not sure this is a very attractive spot for him We have Sammy, Clay and Shady currently and a strong possibility to add a top WR talent at 10. Plenty of weapons IMO
YoloinOhio Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) We have Sammy, Clay and Shady currently and a strong possibility to add a top WR talent at 10. Plenty of weapons IMOagreed. We have a decent triplet combo with a QB that can utilize them. Fix the RT spot, draft a good #2 WR or sign a FA WR. With a QB in place, we might be actually able to get one to come here for the first time in forever. Edited February 16, 2017 by YoloinOhio
BADOLBILZ Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 It's also a question mark on how good their defense will be in Denver with Wade gone and a new scheme. Regarding Denver.......Elway has proven he can re-stock a team quickly..........he turned a soft, slow D into the league's best in two offseasons........so looking at it objectively........ Denver with Elway and a playoff tested organization that EXPECTS to win.......or THE BILLSY WAY with Doug Whaley? If cut, the logical fit is Houston......his wife is pregnant so they probably want to stay near home and the Texans have the best D in the NFL.....a stud WR in Hopkins.....and they routinely make the playoffs in the league's EASIEST division to win.
TheFunPolice Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 There are only a few teams that would really be in the mix, because (IMO anyway) he is going to want some $$ and some type of bonus. I think he wants to play 3-4 years somewhere, then retire. Plenty of teams could use him if he's healthy. But how many are willing to swing for the fences and invest some real $$ into him? I think a dark horse threat is KC, honestly. Imagine that team with a real QB. Chicago keeps getting mentioned but that division is tough and the Bears are totally awful. The AFC East, aside from Brady, is really not a good division. He could come in here, have a nice cadre of weapons in Sammy, Clay and Shady (plus whoever else they sign) and a shot at Brady twice a year. A shot at Brady is house money: everyone loses to them, but if you beat them it's a feather in your cap. Can't lose. Then there is the fanbase. He would be welcomed here like a savior, and if he plays well it only goes up from there. Then there's the ownership, who will spend the $$ and must want owning a team to be fun and exciting in reality rather than just theory at some point. The Bills actually make a lot more sense than it might seem like. If it's an open market I think the chances actually are better, plus you don't have to burn draft picks to do it.
