row_33
Yes, that's what's going to happen. Obviously. I'm just laughing at the fake outrage and hypocrisy by both sides. No wonder Congress's approval rating is below 15% in almost every poll. he's a perfect jurist for the GOP to put forward, they can't even come up with anything fake against him and bear in mind half the GOP nominees end up "betraying" the voters who wanted something else when they voted GOP

row_33
The Dems giveth health care, the Republicans try and take them away and pass the tax cuts along to the wealthy. To say otherwise reveals right wing partisanship If you pulled your head out of your behind you'd have educated yourself and found that a Single Payer system is the only useful way to provide a national health care system in the developed world. Not a good move to goosestep down the street to everything the Democratic Party does...

Thanks Harry You can recycle every quote the Democrats made about "obstruction" in congress, and it'll justify the Senate Republicans going nuclear. That is the best example of "hoist on their own petard" I have ever seen.
B-Man
The Dems, they smell blood. And the thing about a Democrat is he’s got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at ya, he doesn’t even seem to be livin’… ’til he blocks your agenda, and those black eyes roll over white and then… ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin’ about Senate Tradition…. Dem Sen. Chris Coons to GOP: Promise that you won’t end the filibuster for any nominee and maybe we’ll confirm Gorsuch Profiles in Courage............... DC Tom
HEY, DOUBLE STANDARDS ARE STILL STANDARDS YOU GUYS: Democrats Are Applying Litmus Tests To Gorsuch Their Favorite Justices Wouldn’t Pass. Nonsense. The only litmus test they're applying is "Wasn't nominated by a Republican." All their favorite justices would pass that.
Nanker
It has nothing to do with Hillary. They changed it in 1975, when they implemented a "two-track" system to continue Senate business during a filibuster, at which point the filibuster ceased to be about "blocking all Senate business," and hence it became useless to try to monopolize the floor on a specific issue. I stand corrected. OMG! I spread fake news!

Another desperate 11th-hour smear, something that appears to have become a rite of passage for Republican Supreme Court nominees. Someone (David Brock, call your office?) is shopping around to news outlets baseless claims that Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch committed acts of plagiarism in four passages in his 2006 book The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia. row_33
Dems have a right to advise and consent, they have a right to filibuster. GOP controlled the Senate, so it had the right to block any nomination of Obama, it still controls and it has the right to hammer the filibuster as well.
