If there is interest in the Safety position in round 1 and there is injury/durability concern with Hooker then Jabrill Peppers could be a potential alternative.

He's a lot riskier IMO. He really doesn't have a position or production just freakish athletic ability. He's a 2nd round possibility potentially but I can't see him at 10. Edited by Kirby Jackson

at safety? Hail no.

Because he drafted one.

:lol::lol:

Yep. I actually wouldnt mind making that draft pick. As long as he gets healthy which he should, it would be a steal cuz Hooker is supposed to go 1-7. With all the ruckus about Shaq and Reggie last year I dont think Whaley has the stones to pull the trigger unfortunately.

Peppers is up there with Kizer on my please don't draft list. Both players are going to be drafted way above where I think they realistically should be taken.

peppers in the 4th or later but only if they move him to offense

so maybe

trade down from 10 into late teens.....picking up a additional 2nd

- take hooker at 18 or so

- 2nd round mahonnes.....best available physical pass catcher

- 3rd round...right o tackle

I like the positions your drafting, I think it would be foolish to trade back from 10 if you plan on taking Hooker. He has all the natural ability to develop into a game changer on the back end of any defense. I'd be surprised if Mahomes is still available when we pick in the 2nd as well. IMO if Hooker is there take him and be glad he had his surgeries prior to the combine because he would have been off the board.

We could def use Hooker. Whos the other?

dont get Vader started on JBooty!

TE from Michigan - he's very, very good but just had acl surgery on Jan 10. Tore it in the bowl game. Gonna be awhile before he can play.

This

and this.

Hooker has to know that injury debacle has just put him at the top of whaleys draft board. Dougie loves injured prospects :lol:

Shaq, and I guess kujo--- anyone else have any medical flags?

Listenbee was all knotted up before the draft, he was a late round pick but certainly worth a mention because of the failure to add a legitimate WR.

so maybe draft him at 10 and trade up a bit for mahonnes.....i really like that qb

RT can be found later in draft

If you draft a RT, chances are he is not starting year 1. Free agency is the place to look for RT so he can start and be a very good player in year 1.

I'm not saying "not" to draft one - just saying we will likely still have a RT problem this coming season if the Bills don't somehow address it in free agency. So drafting is not an immediate fix.

Drafting a receiver in round 1 could be an immediate fix at a position that could translate into much better offensive production through the air.

If what the early consensus in the scouting community seems to suggest is true and Hooker is there at 10, you jump on it and never look back. He will be the best player on the board by a country mile.

I'd love to see us trade down from 10.
