Lourdes University is on the hunt for student athletes who are quick thinkers, team players, and mentally tough.

The private liberal arts university in Sylvania is joining a growing trend of adding competitive video gaming — or eSports — to its athletic offerings, and recruiters need about 30 men and women to strap on headsets and join the sport’s inaugural season in the fall.

Word to the wise: If you are ever trouble there or get caught running through the private campus, just say you're Southview Hockey

Once upon a time I ran the biggest Team Fortress Classic league and was on a top team. I even joined up with a broadcasting group. I was about 10 years early from making some serious $$$ on e-sports :(

Good. Great. Get in where you fit in, gamers. Hell..you'll probably net the university more coin than will the soccer, hockey, and lacrosse teams combined!

they play all those at the high school, they don't even have their own stadium. Astroturf high school stadium @ my former HS.

!@#$ southview

This sounds great as long as the "University" doesn't refer to the scholarship students as "student athletes." They sit and stare at a computer screen. Call it like it is...

I wonder if Title IX will apply.
