Seems to me most are focussing on the wrong thing. The real issue is not what political leanings Perez (a Bills fan) has.

It should be:

1. CaN he clean this thing up?

2. Will he get to the bottom of and fix things like queering the primary for Hillary?

3. Will the party stop torpedoing it's own candidates?

4. Can he Find quality people to run. (were there really only 3 Dems qualified to run after 8 years of BO?)

5. Will he Dump super delegates?

These things cost them the election, not same sex bathrooms or Trump being mean..

The Democratic Party has no bench.

The over the last 6 years they have hemorrhaged seats in local and state governments, and have lost both the Senate and House. They have no fresh faces, and can't exactly trot out Nancy Pelosi.

He doesn't really get to do anything other than what he's told to do by the people with the money.

What we watched happen with the DNC in the last election is not going to be fixed by any one person until you change the Soros factor and Hillary realizes she's incapable of running any more.

I think the left thinks they DO have a bench in people like Warren, Booker and, maybe, the pink shoes girl who got trounced in Texas (Wendy Davis?} Frankly, I think they're all WAY too left to do any better than Hillary.

Otherwise, you are correct. The fact that they couldn't move away from Pelosi in the House tells you all you need to know about the left's prospects.

Of course, Hillary's going to run vicariously through Chelsea until she dies...

Booker is a much better liar and exaggerator than Warren. He's more Obama-like in that regard. He'll be a factor if he wants to be. I didn't notice Perez in his comments over the weekend promising Dems that the DNC would make data security a top priority.

The problem with the D's is that they've become a national election party, and abandoned workers in the process. Instead of fighting for workers they've fought for Wall Street & Silicon Valley. They have no real message because the progressive wing is continually shut out from leadership positions. The establishment wants to continue neoliberal economic policies like the TPP, & they've become increasingly militant supporting 7 Obama interventions in the Middle East, & lately have turned to blaming Russia on the reason why Hillary lost, up to the point of starting WWIII.

The Dems have lost over 1,000 states and national seats since 2008. If they don't change their policies they'll soon be irrelevelant. The DNC is stocked with lobbyists and political insiders, that is why they don't support fundamentally reforming the party. Sanders showed them a way they could reform the party, such as rejecting corporate money, but the leadership thinks they can win by calling Trump names.

The electorate in the Brexit States which voted twice for Obama didn't suddenly become racist and xenophobic. They voted for Obama the guy with the funny sounding Muslim name, who was black, because they believed he could change the country for the better. Those same people voted for Trump to deliver fundamental change and revitalize the economy & hence increase their wages, & get them better jobs.

You've got to be joking.

He got the position over Ellis because he was backed by the Diem establishment: B.O. and the Clintons. He's not going to bite the hand that fed him copious amounts of political power.

Please, never again use the words fresh faces in the same sentence with the words Nancy Pelosi.

DNC FIRES ENTIRE STAFF

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has launched a major overhaul of the party's organization, which has been stung by recent crises — and the DNC has requested resignation letters from all current staffers.

Party staff routinely see major turnover with a new boss and they had been alerted to expect such a move. However, the mass resignation letters will give Perez a chance to completely remake the DNC's headquarters from scratch. Staffing had already reached unusual lows following a round of post-election layoffs in December.

Out with the old........................in with the older

No bench..............thanks Obama
