PromoTheRobot Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 not if your the right guy if he would have WITH EJ it would have raised some eyebrows for sure....but EJ was EJ and no chance It was sarcasm.
bobobonators Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Being put in a positiong to fail, A Lynn was given lemons and made some lemonade. He will be missed. Best of luck to him.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 I don't. I was kidding. ALynn's job that day was to lose for the draft pick. Mission accomplished. That loss was the difference between picking 10th or 15th. No franchise in their right mind would judge a coach on that game.Agree to disagree.
Beef Jerky Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 If only he beat the Jets. Even Rex beat the Jets his first time playing them.
iinii Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 If only he beat the Jets. If he would have beat the Jets given the lack of talent he was given to work with he could have gotten a lot more jobs.
TakeYouToTasker Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I much prefer the clean slate approach. I wish him the best, but am glad he's not here.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Wonder if the endorsement of TT was solicited or just was something he thought worthy mentioning...
jeffismagic Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Anthony Lynn did a great job here and I wish him the best. I think many people think just calling Roman's plays was easy, Lynn deserved his shot.
eball Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Somewhere Vic Carucci is banging his head against a table. And cursing a fax machine for not being fast enough.
Mr. WEO Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Eh, he's just basing that off of the interim failure rate in the NFL. I don't think he got the sense he truly had no shot. By all accounts the Pegulas liked him and he was near the top of their list. I think its more likely McD swept them all off their feet and left Lynn as the bridesmaid. If McD wasn't around, I think Lynn would've been the guy. That tends to be the way the Pegulas hire the HC. Lynn was therefore doomed.
Doc Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 That tends to be the way the Pegulas hire the HC. Lynn was therefore doomed. As opposed to boring them to death?
Mr. WEO Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 As opposed to boring them to death? Well, Terry did say he fell asleep during the process, thus he relied on Kim getting blown away, as well as Whaley ("you just know").
Doc Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Well, Terry did say he fell asleep during the process, thus he relied on Kim getting blown away, as well as Whaley ("you just know"). So Terry fell asleep and Kim stayed awake. They should be good.
FireChan Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 So Terry fell asleep and Kim stayed awake. They should be good. Yeah. She loved Rex because he really "got" Buffalo and was very marketable. That was good.
Doc Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Yeah. She loved Rex because he really "got" Buffalo and was very marketable. That was good. Well hopefully the Bills can luck into a QB. Worked for Belichick and Carroll.
FireChan Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Well hopefully the Bills can luck into a QB. Worked for Belichick and Carroll. Belichick was hired because he was marketable? Rex would have just been a hidden disaster with a QB.
Doc Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Belichick was hired because he was marketable? Rex would have just been a hidden disaster with a QB. Why do you think that Rex was hired just or even mostly because he was marketable?
FireChan Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) Why do you think that Rex was hired just or even mostly because he was marketable? Because I read what the owners said? Well, wife of the owner. Edited January 30, 2017 by FireChan
Doc Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Because I read what the owners said? Well, wife of the owner. I missed that one. Link?
Mr. WEO Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Well hopefully the Bills can luck into a QB. Worked for Belichick and Carroll. Carroll didn't luck into Wilson. He was passed on by teams that needed a QB and could have had him as is (and as he still is) for a 3rd round pick. The Seahawks had just laid out $ to make Matt Flynn their starter. Carroll was smart enough to realize quickly that Wilson better than Flynn or Jackson. So Terry fell asleep and Kim stayed awake. They should be good. That worked great last time. Good point.
