PromoTheRobot
Obviously someone stayed at resort with unlimited cheap booze. Go to a travel bundler like CheapCaribbean.com. Their packages include airfare and stay at an all-inclusive. Only the airport transfer is not covered.
USMCBillsFan
I am guessing Promo and I booked through the same site since we both did Sunscape-- Apple Vacations. You can find some great deals on there. http://www.applevacations.com/ Thanks for the site. I've now effectively wasted the entire morning at work looking at different location and vacation packages. lol...
NoSaint
Obviously someone stayed at resort with unlimited cheap booze. If that was implying I misread, we were both replying to an earlier price mentioned and complaints about quality at that price. I was not referring to anything the OP had found/not found
Wooderson
I have done both cruises (5) and all-inclusives (2), and prefer cruises. Here are my pros/cons: 1) Cruise is better for entertainment, IMO. I thought that after dinner at the all-inclusives, there was really nothing much else do to. On a cruise, you've got a ton of high-quality options-- shows, lounges, casinos, comedians, movies, bands, etc. 2) I thought food was a lot better on cruises. The all-inclusives I have been to were in the Domincan. I thought the food was terrible at both of the ones I went to--and one of them was rated the best all-inclusive in the DR. I wish they had just served local food, instead they had a french restaurant, american restaurant, italian restaurant-- and they were all really sub-par attempts to do foreign food. 3) I thought both were equally relaxing vacations, but I preferred to see more of different islands and beaches, etc. on a cruise. 4) The alcohol is the reason you do the all-inclusive, IMO. Cruises will gouge you on alcohol, while alcohol is included at all-inclusive. Agree with all points on the cheaper all-inclusive that we went to in Jamaica. I would have to disagree pertaining to the one we went to for our honeymoon. There we're shows, bands, piano lounges, etc. every single night. Their entertainment staff during the day was great and even better at night. Food was exceptional at all restaurants, including a hibachi style sit down. And finally, the alcohol was second to none. All of the top shelf stuff was available and included. Food and drink service at the pool was huge too. We are already planning on going back in the future. Seriously, check this place out if you're interested in an all-inclusive. http://www.secretsresorts.com/maroma-beach-riviera-cancun
meazza
I recently went to sensimar resort in riviera maya. Food was very good and a good time overall. You're about 25 minutes from the 5th avenue where the shopping is good.
