Interesting in the first article it talks about Hostetler getting creamed by Leon Seals. That he had to sniff an ammonia cap and he said the first half was kind of a blur. Sounds like by today's standards he would have been diagnosed with a concussion and they would have been forced to play Matt Cavanaugh. Would it have made a difference? I suspect it may have.

True but by today's standards Seals' hit would be illegal.

Damn. That is depressing. That fairly young guy crying in his beer somehow knew that was it, the last opportunity we'd have for 25+ years. He's probably grizzled old fat guy eating stromboli in stadium lots yearning for the glory days.
