hondo in seattle Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Meanwhile, Greg Rosenthal at NFL.com says McDermott - of the 6 new HCs - is the least likely to be successful. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000778807/article/ranking-nfl-coaching-hires-anthony-lynn-at-no-1 Few of these media guys actually know any more about the Bills than an informed fan. They're more sports entertainers than sports experts. They can write a better column than most of us, or sound more interesting on the air. But their prognostication skills are questionable.

They are not required to be knowledgeable though, just attract viewers/readers.
jr1 Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I'm hoping Frazier will help him avoid rookie HC mishaps

There are a lot of informed fans on this board who have predicted the Bills would make the playoffs over the past 17 years. No question at all about their prognostication skills, it's pretty obvious. 26TrapDraw Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Assuming they keep TT the reason this will not come to pass is Sammy booboo foot Watkins doesn't have half the heart and fire that Julio Jones does.
Mr. WEO Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 So, let's break down the "Dave Dameshek" (??) math. If A): Mike Shanahan has a son named Kyle B): Kyle Shanahan is the OC for the Falcons top offense C): Gary Kubiak was a coach under Mike Shanahan D): Dennison coached under Kubiak Then E): The Bills offense is the Atlanta Falcons next year! Sweet!!! The best part is that they pretend the Falcons (and "Matty Ice" in particular) came out of nowhere offensively this year compared to last. Yet their offense has been in the top 10 4 times prior to this year. They were top 10 in scoring in 4 out of Ryan's first 5 seasons.
LeGOATski Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Assuming they keep TT the reason this will not come to pass is Sammy booboo foot Watkins doesn't have half the heart and fire that Julio Jones does. Haha...I'm sure many Falcons fans said the same thing about Julio when he's been injured over the years...
K D Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Matt Ryan had more yards passing at halftime on Sunday than Tyrod had in 95% of his starts.
DrDawkinstein Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Haha...I'm sure many Falcons fans said the same thing about Julio when he's been injured over the years... With the same exact injury and lingering issue. SAME EXACT!
BaaadThingsMan Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Slow news week. Nobody is gonna tune in to listen to them suck *marsha off for the next two weeks. Been there unfortunately, won't do it, can't do it. Let's see, which fans are the most desperate right now, Bills fans. Ok, click bait engaged. That being said, hey !@#$ it. It could be the Bills?!
Wayne Arnold Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I'm hoping Frazier will help him avoid rookie HC mishaps What would be an example of a rookie HC mishap?
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Similar weapons on offense, but QB is no comparison. If we had a Matt Ryan caliber of QB, and a good #2 WR, we could be the Falcons Offense.
long suffering bills fan Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 It seems like this logic is a bit of a stretch, but if we retain TT, we could be a playoff team.

It is true to some degree. Bills fan know more about Marrone than he does. We know he is gutless and has thin skin. We know about St. Doug and poor relationship with Whaley. However we really don't have any insight into McDermott either yet. Or any of the other new coaches. We really don't even know much about Lynn as a HC. I think we take issue with factual errors that get perpetuated at the national level but this is probably true for other markets and their loyal fan bases.
BringBackFergy Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I'm hoping Frazier will help him avoid rookie HC mishaps If they have at least 11 guys on the field all season I'll say McDermott is a success.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Matt Ryan had more yards passing at halftime on Sunday than Tyrod had in 95% of his starts. His OC also called double the passing plays.
