I Sure Hope That Stupid Wall Gets Built

Illegal sends money to Mexico ---> taxed ----->tax goes to wall ----->remaining money goes to mexico, 20% less than it was before. Mexico pays, not American taxpayers.

Uhm, where does it show in that flowchart that Mexico pays?

Yep. Get the fees directly from the transmitting agent. EFT directly to the US Treasury.

And, if they use mules to carry greenbacks over the border, then all the $ is confiscated and the mules get deported after a month in the slammer with Tuco.

This is the childishness and folly that rules the hour

the dire straits song money for nothing was about when one of the band members was walking down the streets seeing a moving company move a refrigerator to a stars aparment and commented that the movie star does nothing and gets paid while these guys did the back breaking work. From there the song was written.

Brown people pay. Isn't that the same thing.

And you tax their wires to Mexico at 20% then they just go the old fashioned route and send cash.

Or they jack up their wages by 20%, and the white devil pays.

That's because the number of illiegals here increases absent mass deportations. Illegal immigration itself is low, which is one of the many reasons the wall is stupid, while better security is not.

Don's EO doesn't address the illegals already here. Hopefully when he does, he thinks it through (all indications to the contrary).

When we start arguing about the best way to secure the border and greatly reduce illegal immigration we are making real progress. A wall alone won't be enough and there may be effective means without deploying a wall.

The funny thing is Obama and Hillary (and Bill for that matter) have talked a lot about illegal immigration but now that it's coming from The Umpa Lumpa In Chief the left goes into hysterics. It's mind boggling.

Sure, increase legal immigration. That will take care of the problem. How is Trump going to jack up economic growth and not let in more immigrants? Who will do all the work that is needed?

Yup, that darn Hillary and Obama wall was a terrible idea

Stunning how clueless you can be

Granted, it's indirect.

Not bloody likely. If that's the case, boss'll hire whitey.

It's not even close to indirect, because the lost income to Mexico has nothing to do with funds that will be used to pay for the wall.

Where's boss whitey going to find that labor supply? I know it doesn't get brought up a lot, but a huge reason the Hispanics are in those jobs is because there's a shortage of low-skill low-wage labor force in the pre eminent first world country.

It does get brought up a lot but it gets dismissed. Apparently everyone wants to clean hotels for minimum wage but the immigrants are stopping them.

It amazes me that the same people who think criminals will have access to guns no matter what law is in place think a wall will stop illegal immigration and travel bans will stop terrorism.

You have a right to bear arms. Not a right to inmigrate here.

Two separate arguments.
