It is laughable that there is this apparent worldwide feeling that "they" (as in the rest of the world) are entitled to enter the United States whenever, however they choose to do so.

IMO, I think there is/was something brewing and Trump wasn't going to sit back and have his own 9/11 three months into his Presidency.

Who do they think they are? The Pilgrims or something?

IMMIGRATION OFFICERS’ UNION PRESIDENT ON TRUMP BAN: I Don’t See It As A Bad Thing.

“Palinkas said he believes restricting access from the seven predominantly Muslim countries that were designated as harboring terrorists under former President Barack Obama will disrupt sleeper cell activity on U.S. soil.”

When they have an appropriately issued Green Card or visa, THEY ARE!!!

How is that so difficult to miss? The president can delay or suspend the issuance of new visas with an executive order. The president cannot suspend already-issued visas or Green Cards with an executive order. That's illegal in about four different ways.

Yeah, I'm sure the guy who thinks he knows more about ISIS than the intelligence community, that thinks his daily intel brief is unnecessary, and that takes pride in acting "from the gut" is making a sound and rational decision to prevent an imminent terrorist attack.

President has the ability to deny re-entry if that individual is returning from one of the 7 countries on the list. Why? Because they haven't cooperated with enhanced screening like the other countries left off the list (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc.)

"Under U.S. Code, the president does have the statutory authority to keep anyone out of the country, for any reason he thinks best. Per 8 USC §1182

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Interesting. I would think the President (and his advisers) are drawing a distinction between Fleuti-type "vacationing abroad" (in Fleuti's case, they seemed to deny his re-entry based on his sexual orientation and Mexico was not considered a hotbed of terrorism with relaxed screening protocol); in the present case, it appears the President is relying on a 2015 law signed by Obama that pinpointed certain middle east nations that do not keep tabs on its visitors, and when those individuals visit those countries and later seek re-entry to the US, the President has the right to delay entry as per the above cited section of the US Code. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but that's apparently what is happening. We aren't talking about a guy from Sweden who is a LTR vacationing in Mexico and wanting to re-enter the US...the distinction is the threat of terrorism from nations already identified by Obama.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz must have decided that his company did not have a sufficiently irritating corporate image.

So he took steps:

Starbucks says it will hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years, a
response to President Donald Trump’s indefinite suspension of Syrian refugees and temporary travel bans that apply to six other Muslim-majority nations.

Howard, you know how that sounds to Americans looking for jobs, right ?

So where will they find 10,000 hire-able refugees? In Germany or England or France to work in their stores over there?
