Augie
Yep. Im tryin not to drown in it. Reaching for a life preserver but it looks like random flailing to the outside world. Chin up, you learn to appreciate different things. Or things differently? Regardless, all is not lost. Our sh!tstorm of 3-4 years ago is now looking like an old dream. Fadingpain
Slightly off-topic, but since we last played in the Superbowl, the Patriots have played in the Superbowl EIGHT TIMES, if we include the game coming up this year.
bobobonators
Yea there's a small window of folks that were just barely forming memories during the run that are now about 30 it's insane that in midterms there could be voters that weren't alive the last playoff run. Indeed man. Its been a long journey.
VaMilBill
Learned to not soil myself, then how to talk, then graduated K12 schools, college, military, about to be married. And I've lived a depressing life as a Bills fan. Will I ever get to see a Bills super bowl victory?

No promises, but the order with which you approached things (especially not soiling yourself, a game changer) is encouraging. GO BILLS!

phxbacker
I heard this discussed today among some people and it made me laugh and feel sad that it's been that long. Reminder, Super Bowl 28 took place in 1994 at the Georgia Dome. How has your life changed since then? went through a divorce, then re-married and added 3 more kids ...... my 4th and oldest was 1 that year, he's getting married this year. We are all Bills fans ! BobbyC81
Since I was also in a job/career I didn't like, I suffered from depression which resulted in numerous hours of therapy and various antidepressants. My daughter was born a few years later which helped tremendously. Then I had a career change where I got into something I really enjoyed. Now, retired early, I'm enjoying not working, still at an age where I can enjoy other things in life while I still can. Still, the cloud of the Bills never having won a Super Bowl exists with each season beginning with hope, as always, but ending without a title and of course the last 17 seasons without even making the playoffs. Not living in the Buffalo area, and seeing friends and co-workers experience their teams winning the Super Bowl has been tough to take. At the time of the first Bills Super Bowl appearance, only 12 different teams had won the Super. Since the Bills last Super Bowl appearance, 7 more teams have won the title for the first time. So, the Bills are now one of only 13 teams to not have won a Super Bowl title. As Super Bowl 51 approaches, it seems more pathetic that the Bills have not won one. I have finally come to accept that, like many Cubs fans that have gone before us and did not see their team win this last World Series, I probably won't experience a Bills' Super Bowl victory, which is definitely not my thinking back with Super Bowl 28. plenzmd1
Oh lordy, way too many changes. What's changed: Was single, smoked a pack and a half of Reds every day, went to the track 3 times a week and the AC once a month. Most people told me I was crazy for living in Mount Pleasant neighborhood in DC., or the District at all for that matter What's the same: I still good looking, I still play the ponies , just on the PC now, can still go to casino bout once a month, but could be in just about every state in the Union. Also, people love to stay at our place in DC now, and don't think the neighborhood is scary anymore. On a somber note..went to this Super Bowl game with my brother, Can remember the day and its events like yesterday., all the way down to selling our ticket stubs to a Cowboy fan on the way out of the dome. Sadly he has passed, and I no longer get to talk and scream with every game. But me and his sons still do up the tailgates, always raise a beer in his memory before we head into the game, and yell and scream with each other via text instead of voice now! ganesh
enjoyed the first four years in this country with the four SBs (heart breaking), graduated Masters, got married, had kids, worked in four startups and moved back to India to be near family and still a lifelong Bills fan watching every Sunday game at Midnight (for the past six years) faithfully and hoping for that still elusive playoffs and ultimately the ring. If the Bills win the SB, I will fly to Buffalo to join the parade!

Otherwise, still married to Mrs. #Chandler81, but rather than having children who were 12 & 7 years old, we have GRANDCHILDREN who are 12 and 7 years old.. At least I got to take my son to Bills playoff games -AND WE WON THEM!

Corp000085
I was in 9th grade. My life is great now. Wife, child, dog, house, master's degree. I'm halfway through my career as an educator. I've buried 3 of 4 grandparents. My siblings have gotten married. I have 4 nephews and one niece. Life is really good so far... It's crazy to think that its literally been a GENERATION since the Bills were good. Hell, there's 25 year old college grads who have no idea. The Sabres haven't even been that great... My 7 year old son doesn't even know what the playoffs are. He was an infant during the last Sabres playoff victory. People really do have a bond with the teams and the city. I just can't wait for our time.

fasteddie
I've taken 26 cruises, most of the time in January since there's no football games to attend. Still have season tickets but annually have my head examined. Fortunately, my doc is a Bills fan also, so he just writes it off as temporary insanity. jimmy10
I was in high school at the time. Finished high school, went to college, met my wife there, lived in a couple different cities around the east coast before settling back in WNY, had two kids, got my career going. So... not much?
