GunnerBill
Maybe if he thinks the 2018 QB class is as good as advertised he wants two firsts next year to allow him to move up. Ride with Brady and Brissett next year and then draft Brady's proper heir in 2018 with the idea of that person starting in 2019.
BmarvB
Aaron Rogers (1st ballot) and Rothlisberger (prolly) were completely beat down today by better teams. The scores were lopsided but in no way did the losers/visitors have a chance of winning. The losers would have been able to make it a game if the HOF QB's passes weren't dropped and the second tier receivers were playoff caliber. It was a very obvious thing to watch today. Any WR/TE not named Nelson or Brown shvt the bed. It was awful - like many Bills games this year. Today was as stark of an example as anyone needs to see where the #1 receiver was shut down (Jordy, Brown) and the next options COULD NOT GET IT DONE DESPITE HOF QB PLAY. Everyone on here Old School, Ryan, etc. should now see how it's a two way street QB-WR and TT had that interrupted/no talent all year. And when he had it, was spectacular. This draft class is loaded with WR. That's what this O needs - not a "grasp at straw" QB in the first round. Bills also need a killer DB - also a strong position in this draft. Stay away from QB in the first few rounds and let TT grow - QB is not a position of need. That said - always draft a sleeper in a later round. Many on here know this is mine: carry on I agree. TT is nowhere near as bad as he gets made out to be both here and in the media. Rex's staff was never very good at developing QB's anyway. This staff might be able to get much more from him. I personally think we can win with him at QB, and it's not like there's much in the way of better options available. Romo is NOT an option, Cutler is NOT an option, somebody else's backup is NOT an option for a starter (ask Houston about how that worked out). The smart play is to give this coaching staff an opportunity to get the most out of what we already have at QB. We can win with TT, but not with the defense playing like it did this season. boyst
Not going thru this. The games had nothing to do with QB's. They were defensive **** fests. This is going to be a terrible Super Bowl
PatsFanNH
Exactly. Green bay let up like 500 yards after 3 quarters. And Pittsburgh continued to play zone against brady and got burnt. Had little to do with dropped passes Pitt wasn't helped when the best RB in the NFL, Bell went out in the first quarter either.
Formerly Allan in MD
As a counterpoint HOF QB Brady made Chris Hogan look like a super star. Amazing that you and others give Hogan no credit for his ability to get open and his good hands. They do help no matter who the quarterback is, which should be obvious. A prime reason, if not the reason, Watkins will leave when he can is because he constantly gets open and has no one to throw him the ball regularly and accurately. This is going to be a terrible Super Bowl You think so? High powered Atlanta offense vs High Powered Brady offense Good NE Defense vs Solid Atlanta Defense It could be worse. If ATL can scheme correctly they should be able to keep it close and even win. If their defense cant stop Brady they have the fire power to answer back. It really depends how NE defense matches up with ATL. NE has a good secondary so based off that they have the advantage, considering passing is what ATL does best, if they shut down the pass it could be a blow out. Watching defenses suck is terrible. It makes ESPN highlights and everyone thinks its cool to dance on someone. But, missed tackles, blown coverages, failure to execute on the DL, OL holding, WR pushing off on DB's... all of that is failed football

Hogan had a reputation for being open when he was with the Bills. He probably doesn't get as much separation as a WR like Watkins or Antonio Brown though. So, it takes an accurate QB to get him the ball where he needs it for receptions.
