Hopefully the writer will go and spend some TIME IN SWEDEN in the "no go" areas of Lund. Talking to an academic expert or two is lazy journalism. As a journalist for a major news source for 30 years....I can tell you one thing those years taught me and that is - that University professors are rarely insightful or well informed. The chart they shared in that article does show, as stated that violent crime has trended down since 1980 however has spiked a bit in the last few years.
