Wayne Arnold Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 He lost me at "without professional assistance." It's over, Johnny.
MAJBobby Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 If he wants to finally dedicate to the work and football. Prove it in CFL
FireChan Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 This was after he led a TD drive with a Browns offense that did nothing all day.
K D Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 What has he done in the NFL for people to think he's good enough to play? Add to that he's an alcoholic and an idiot. You must be joking
Doc Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 The developmental league is his best bet. Then the AFL.
Cynical Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 This was after he led a TD drive with a Browns offense that did nothing all day. And after that TD, he did nothing with the rest of his "career".
PromoTheRobot Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 This was after he led a TD drive with a Browns offense that did nothing all day. Well there ya go. Make room for another bust in Canton.
FireChan Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 Well there ya go. Make room for another bust in Canton. Typical lame retort. May be time to get a new schtick.
Fadingpain Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 As a backup, he can't be any worse than EJ Manuel, and in fact would likely be much, much better. If he can be had for peanuts, sign him up to a K filled with penalties for stepping out of line. I don't see us retaining Tyrod, but if we did, and if Tyrod were to go down for a 3 game stretch (or more) Johnny Football could help mitigate the damage a lot better than other backup options. He has definite limitations to his NFL game, but he is a football player.
aristocrat Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Typical lame retort. May be time to get a new schtick. he is an unbelievably terrible idea for qb. just hilarious
PromoTheRobot Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Typical lame retort. May be time to get a new schtick. What is lame is your undying mancrush on a guy who has repeatedly shown he has no business in the NFL.
FireChan Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 What is lame is your undying mancrush on a guy who has repeatedly shown he has no business in the NFL. He wasn't even sober. I'd like to see you throw a football after downing a bottle of Popov.
Fadingpain Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 What has he done in the NFL for people to think he's good enough to play? Add to that he's an alcoholic and an idiot. You must be joking He's shown moments of quality. Admittedly, those moments didn't last long.
Captain Caveman Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 He wasn't even sober. I'd like to see you throw a football after downing a bottle of Popov. Right, and his chances of staying sober aren't great, especially without professional assistance.
BmarvB Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Let him go to the CFL where he belongs. He's not an NFL caliber talent. Yeah. Prove it there first.
Rocky Landing Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Lets assume that we are going to drop at least one of our current QBs. Assume also we will be drafting one. We will need at least one camp arm between now, and next season's final 53, no? I can't even remember the names of some of the guys that filtered through the organization in that capacity. Some of them were low grade journeymen, some pulled off other team's practice squads, and often they were long-shot prospects. Why not have an entertaining camp arm? Hell, Tebow went to the Pats* briefly. I'd take Johnny Flameout over him.
