Big Gun Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Rogers and Brady should switch spots without question. I don't know how anyone would question that. Ben Roethlisberger should be bumped down to franchise and ranked around number 7 probably. I consider Ryan and Rivers both as elite Qb's. So they should be bumped up and definitely ahead of Ben. Tannehill above Tyrod - um.... no The order you have number 25 through 32 in is also questionable but highly debatable in many different directions. Other than that, not too bad - I would say in ballpark. You're delusional if you think Tyrod is a better QB than Tannehill.
Never NEVER Give-up Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I like it. I'd bump up Matt Ryan. I think Carr deserves to be with Franchise Qb's Agreed! (rare) Bump up Matty Ice after Sunday's game - if he stays consistent, Carr is on the cusp, would have been nice to see him in a playoff game to confirm his slotting on the list.
Wayne Arnold Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 You're delusional if you think Tyrod is a better QB than Tannehill. If we're strictly using the last two seasons, Taylor has been better than Tannehill both years. At worst it's a draw.
GunnerBill Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 I had Tannehill 1 place above Tyrod... I think you can argue for it the other way round but the point is they are in the same ball park. I think that he only used the 2016 starters. With that being said Bridgewater would be in the game manager tier and Foles on the needs to be replaced imo. I did. And yes.... you are right on where I'd have them.
PatsFanNH Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 You're delusional if you think Tyrod is a better QB than Tannehill. I wouldn't want Tannehill as my QB. Million dollar arm, ten cent teammate and QB smarts. (I personally lost a lot of respect when it came out he yelled at PS CB for daring to intercept him. Meanwhile Brady applauded said actions. Which helped Malcolm Butler become a very good CB, just imagine how Tannahill act effected the CB he yelled at.) I take Taylor as my QB every day and twice on Sunday before Tannahill.
Kirby Jackson Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I would put bridgewater in : "too early to know" or the "Next Gen" myself.Maybe too early to tell but his game to date has been of the game manager variety.
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 You're delusional if you think Tyrod is a better QB than Tannehill. Is he to think that? You think Tannehill is anything special?
Kirby Jackson Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I'd take Tyrod over Tannehill but I think that they are in the same league.
section122 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I got asked by a non-Bills supporting NFL loving friend last week where I thought Tyrod ranked in the NFL Quarterbacks. I though long and hard about the way I would categorise and rank them taking into account play in 2016, overall body of work and potential. Here is what I came up with..... Flame away TBD..... do your worst..... Gunner I like your list but moved some people around. Here is what I got: 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Tom Brady 3. Drew Brees 5. Matt Ryan (4) 4. Ben Rothlisberger (5) 6. Philip Rivers 7. Russell Wilson 8. Andrew Luck 9. Matthew Stafford 13. Derek Carr (10) 10. Eli Manning (11) 15. Jameis Winston (12) 12. Cam Newton (13) 14. Marcus Mariota (14) 19. Kirk Cousins (15) 16. Dak Prescott 18. Andy Dalton (17) 17. Alex Smith (18) 21. Tyrod Taylor (19) 20. Ryan Tannehill (20) 11. Joe Flacco (21) 22. Sam Bradford 23. Carson Palmer 25. Carson Wentz (24) 24. Jay Cutler (25) 26. Blake Bortles 31. Colin Kaepernick (27) 27. Trevor Seimian (28) 30. Ryan Fitzpatrick (29) 32. Robert Griffin III (30) 28. Brock Osweiler (31) 29. Jared Goff (32) I had to get rid of your categories as I moved guys around but most of my list is close to yours.
GunnerBill Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 My categories I do accept don't necessarily end up with the right order at the bottom. It is very likely that Seimian and Goff are worse than Fitz and Kaep.... but the ranking reflects that the book is still open on them whereas Fitz and Kaep are who they are.

Ryan Fitzpatrick 31. Colin Kaepernick 32. Robert Griffin III Flame away TBD..... do your worst..... Really good list; my only serious disagreement would be Rodgers/Brady, I would sadly put Brady #1, almost on a level of his own. If I were putting together a team for one season there is absolutely no question that I would take "the QB who sits to pee". The rest of the list is hard to argue with but from personal preference I would put Wilson #5 and Stafford 12 or lower. I'd take Tyrod over Tannehill but I think that they are in the same league. Agreed, matter of personal preference
Kirby Jackson Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 NoEach has played 29 games over the last 2 years, Tyrod 15-14, Tannehill 14-15 (pretty close), Tannehill 259 total yards a game, Tyrod 230 total yards a game (edge Tannehill), Tannehill 45 TDs, Tyrod 47 TDs (slight edge Tyrod), Tannehill 24 INTs, Tyrod 12 INTs (big edge Tyrod) I don't know how you don't interpret that as close? Agreed, matter of personal preference Absolutely but it's definitely close. You're delusional if you think Tyrod is a better QB than Tannehill.Comparison above

PatsFanNH Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 So Tyrod/Tannehill is close but Tyrod/Hoyer isn't! Whatever! You're easier than I thought. Hoyer not on the list so was. O need to compare. I think TT is def a game manager, as he will not cost you a game but you really can't expect him to carry the team either.
Kirby Jackson Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 So Tyrod/Tannehill is close but Tyrod/Hoyer isn't! Whatever! You're easier than I thought. The Tannehill Tyrod comparison is above. The Tyrod Hoyer comparison is here http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/191717-wanna-dump-tyrod-then-whos-the-new-qb/?p=4226971 I've provided he evidence that you've chosen to ignore. It's pretty clear but you are choosing your bias over the facts. That's a weak argument.

LI_Bills Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 This morning I saw a post where someone had Luck as a top 5 and my immediate thought was he was a step down from there. I tried to do the mental exercise, but life got in the way. Thanks for doing the legwork. By and large you nailed it IMO.
