So the media insiders knew nothing about this one. Knew nothing about the Dorsey interview. Could we have sealed some loose lips at OBD?

Anonymous source says Leroi was fired with cause.

None of these hires have been prompted with rumors, only announced as finalized.

VERY interesting indeed.

Huh? We had McDermott rumors and McCoy pursuit rumors.

Should for our personnel nicely. He's served under Shannahan and Kubiak so expect to see emphasis on the run game, play action, bootlegs and moving the pocket. Sounds like a good fit for Tyrod.

Not that it effects Offense necessarily, but Wiki says he was Special Teams Coach the two Super Bowl winning years in Denver ('97,'98). Speaks to his versatility - and I like the pedigree of success. Also, working with Peyton, Flacco helps.

Just read a couple of tweets from the Denver media, they think the Bills made a mistake as Broncos fans are happy to see him go.

Uh oh.

That sounds like the 49ers fans with Greg Roman.

That didn't work out well.

I LOVE this hire. Years of success with guys like Schaub and Cutler. Emphasizes a strong running game. Absolutely excstatic.

Buffalo Bills PR Retweeted Buffalo Bills

New #Bills OC Rick Dennison has been to six Super Bowls--three as a player and three as a coach, including last season as the Broncos OC.

Interesting him being a linebacker as a player, but his entire coaching career is on the offensive side. He has been successful though.

Per Bills Twitter:

Freak out!

Awesome! A superbowl winning OC. Probably the best of who's available really. Seems like an understated guy too, which fits in with HC's personality.

Is he good? Denver offense wasn't that good player this year?

He did a pretty good job with Siemian as starter. That O looked inventive despite a young QB in there. Denver's problems were with the O line.

guys on twitter don't like the oc for their team without a qb?

huh.

you don't say.

a lot better than it could have been

I think this is probably true given the little bit I am learning about the guy. He certainly is above the Mendoza line. We shall see. He might end up being good.

FireChan was a big Kubiak guy in 2015. Him being in favour of this is entirely consistent with his views for people who read his posts rather than deciding he is wrong before engaging.

Hot Take Alert: He had a mediocre offensive output with Simean and Paxton...understandable. But he had several years with Denver before that showing success. I like the fact McDermott thought outside the box. Experienced guy, longevity at his last team and good background.

Ok. Let's get this shitshow going.
