People waited eight years for Summer of Recovery to take root, and it never did, mostly because Obama was more interested in carving out a death road for businesses he did not agree with. A monkey could have been elected president and made things better just by undoing Obama's stupidity.

Tiberius Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Yet another Swamp of corruption the Democrats will investigate when they--All we patriots hope--take back the House. Tariffs are not the best idea. “Thousands of American companies have filed more than 33,000 requests for exemptions to the steel and aluminum tariffs, but fewer than 1,500 have been granted and the vast majority remain in limbo. In hearings before Congress and in the media, executives at tariff-hit businesses have complained about the confusing and unresponsive process. The opportunity for cronyism is apparent and U.S. steel manufacturers have, according to multiple media reports, successfully exerted significant control over the exemption-granting process. In short, everything [Sens. Orrin G.] Hatch and [Ron] Wyden warned about has comue to pass — and yet the Department of Commerce has not addressed those concerns.

Buffalo_Gal Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 U.S. retail sales, manufacturing data bolster third-quarter economic outlook U.S. retail sales rose more than expected in July as households boosted purchases of motor vehicles and clothing, suggesting the economy remained strong early in the third quarter. Other data on Wednesday showed manufacturing output rising steadily last month and worker productivity growing at its fastest pace in more than three years in the second quarter, though a drop in labor costs pointed to moderate wage inflation. 1

Can't wait to retire.

3rdnlng Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Youth unemployment is the lowest since 1966. It stands at 9.2% for 16-24 year old youths. This is tremendous news and is a great sign for things to come. Instilling a work effort in the young is a definite plus for this country. 1
