We did, and Hubby and I are not religious, and not art aficionados and it was still well worth it! We had an all-day guide though, otherwise, we'd probably still be roaming the entrance way. Have a marvelous vacation. Italy is our #1 return-to once things settle down in "life". 1

Tiberius Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 Quote Farm groups are going on the offensive with a multimillion-dollar advertising and advocacy campaign against President Donald Trump’s tariffs just days after the administration rolled out a $12 billion bailout for farmers harmed by a mounting trade war. The nonprofit group, which is backed by the American Farm Bureau Federation and major commodity groups like the National Pork Producers Council, is investing $2.5 million in the four-month campaign aimed at showcasing how the tariffs are causing pain among U.S. farmers and manufacturers because of Trump’s trade policies. The centerpiece of the campaign is an advertisement set to run on Fox News, CNBC and CNN and in local television and radio markets in Iowa, Pennsylvania and Michigan. The ad calls out a July 19 remark by White House trade adviser Peter Navarro in which he called the impact of tariffs a “rounding error.” https://www.politico.com/story/2018/07/26/farm-groups-anti-tariff-blitz-trade-aid-711958 Pork!

B-Man Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 (edited) Trump's Deal with the EU Is Democrat Nightmare By Roger L Simon July 25, 2018 President Donald Trump and European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker speak in the Rose Garden of the White House They must be burning whatever gallons of midnight oil they have left at MSNBC, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc. -- all the propaganda organs of the Democratic Party -- trying to figure out how to downplay the agreement Donald Trump just made with European Union President Jean-Claude Juncker, but it's not going to be easy. This is the beginning of a massive free trade deal between Europe and the U.S. with zero tariffs outside the auto industry. If even half of it comes true, there will be a (okay, why not?) YUUUGE growth in trade benefitting both sides of the Atlantic. Forget porn stars. Forget tapes. Forget evil Vlad and Rocket Man. Forget insulting our NATO partners (whatever that means). Forget that pseudo-socialist with the hyphenated name. Forget Mueller, sleazy Strzok , Adam "Leaker" Schiff, Fingers Clapper, Knuckles Brennan, Rocko Rosenstein, or any of the sordid crew. Forget even Twitter! (well, maybe). By comparison, those are all sideshows. As everyone knows, in politics, "It's the economy, stupid!" https://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/trumps-deal-with-the-eu-is-democrat-nightmare/ . . Edited July 26, 2018 by B-Man 3
