that's why TPS is on ignore, sort of a wistful one because there was SOME potential there for engaging in some useful thought....

not worth it though for the dooshiness...

You have TPS on ignore?

You're going to miss 1/2 of some epic monetary policy discussions between him & GG.

TPS is definitely one of our sane lefties and typically brings good discussion to the table.

I think he's mad because I used DC's line on him. If you can't take that on PPP, then you shouldn't come here...

But when I do it, it's just good-natured fun.

Unless I use "really are" or "!@#$ing idiot."  Then I'm trying to help someone rise above their natural limitations.

But either way, it's always well-intended.

But either way, it's always well-intended. (After I stopped laughing..."This may be my all-time favorite post?" I say it's Hart-worthy rather than Byng-worthy.

My reactions as I read this...

Someone wrote this for him. Is there any writing by this president in the public record, aside from his idiotic blathering on twitter?

And the Stock Market continues to fall...

The Trump deficit is leading to high interest rates and hurting the economy. The tax cuts for the super wealthy and not helping. The rich must be laughing at how they got the Trumpsters to follow along. I kind of admire how they manipulate unemployed coal miners and such

Oh joy, oh bliss, a hat trick of ignored responses.

Did the combined exposed total IQ of the 3 get to 3 digits?

Two Trump links and one whiny post about Trump.

Pretty sure the combination of Trump quotes and Tibs writing pushed IQ total in to negative territory.

And there ya go

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) told The Economist in a recent interview that there was “no evidence whatsoever” that the large tax cuts President Donald Trump gave businesses are helping average Americans. “There is still a lot of thinking on the right that if big corporations are happy, they’re going to take the money they’re saving and reinvest it in American workers,” he told the magazine. “In fact they bought back shares, a few gave out bonuses; there’s no evidence whatsoever that the money’s been massively poured back into the American worker.” He also said that the government has an important role to play in the current American economy. “If we basically say everyone is on their own and the market’s going to take care of it, we will rip the country apart, because millions of good hardworking people lack the means to adapt,” he said.

Yes, our economy has improved. Hold your breath. It may improve more.

Signs that it has improved: Unemployment rates are at record lows in 14 states.  The number of people drawing unemployment is the smallest since 1974.

Not the percentage, but the number. The number is the smallest! We have twice the labor force today. Yet the number who draw unemployment is where it was 43 years ago. Miraculous.

Our GDP grew at 3.1 percent over the last three quarters. Government predicts it will hit a 3.3 rate for the last quarter. That would be the highest in 15 years.

Government also predicts a 3.3 rate over the next year.  Important supply chain figures are annualizing at 7.5 percent growth. This is a strong indication of healthy GDP in the future.

About 93 percent of our manufacturers say they are optimistic.  The highest in 20 years. Last year only 56 percent were optimistic.

Meanwhile, the index of small business optimism is hitting record highs month after month.

The Congressional Budget Office credits Trump’s tax cuts and policies for much of this success. It is hard to avoid that conclusion. It is hard to avoid the reality that Obama’s economic policies were flops.
