I love all the finger pointing but not one person here and very few "leaders" stepping up and saying what they would do or have done differently.

Did not work anytime you posted HH previously and today is no different.  For anybody who really got up in arms over him they are probably long departed from this world.

Loosening air pollution standards won't fix this: The Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday released its economic projections for the remainder of 2020 and for 2021. “CBO estimates that real (inflation-adjusted) gross domestic product (GDP) will contract by 11 percent in the second quarter of this year, which is equivalent to a decline of 38 percent at an annual rate. In the second quarter, the number of people employed will be almost 26 million lower than the number in the fourth quarter of 2019.”

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF: Finally Some Good News—Trump Is About to Flood the Economy With Deregulation.

“This president has a been a breath of fresh air when it comes to regulations, gleefully chucking away hundreds of pages of them at a time. It’s really nice to see Republicans learning how to play the ‘never let a crisis go to waste’ game for once, but focusing the effort on something that’s actually good for the country, like a sweeping effort to wipe out business-crushing regulations.”

We can’t afford luxury regulations in a Wuhan Virus economy.

"BREAKING: President Trump signs executive order "instructing federal agencies to use any and all authority to waive, suspend and eliminate unnecessary regulations that impede economic recovery."

"Loosening air pollution standards won't fix this:"

So, you're saying that pollution standards are unnecessary regulations? That's some turn-around. We conservatives want strong pollution standards not like you so called progressives. Think of the children.

It’s not an essential business when you can grow their product in your backyard.

Will be interesting to see what happens to unemployment numbers over the next month as states open back up.  My wife's company (which was designated as essential but lost a ton of business during the shutdown) has begun ramping back up in states that are opening.  They're going from ~25% staffed back up to full staffing in the next couple of weeks.  That will help the numbers & they aren't the only ones.

The concern is how many small businesses / restaurants won't be able to reopen & how many jobs won't come back because of that.  Eventually others will take their place, but that will be a slow process & those that are out will likely never be remade whole again.

Nothing to cheer about here...

Jobless claims: Another 2.438 million Americans file for unemployment benefits

Do you think these ~40 million unemployed Americans are better off today than they were four years ago?

Nope

Which party supports extending the lockdowns despite evidence that they should be ending ASAP?   Why do you actively support a party that is sending people to an earlier grave?

They probably aren't and most are probably really pissed at their Governors for being forced away from their jobs.

Nice try but Trump is the one who opposes extending the $600 boost in weekly unemployment benefits as jobless levels reach record highs
