Benjamin Franklin Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 bull ****. Sanders is a politician just like all the rest. He "cares" because that caring lines his pockets with voters and money. Where does his money go? That's what he cares about. They all want the power but Sanders is also an idealist. I give him a lot higher marks for sincerity than Trump who is in it for Trump and Clinton who sells herself out. Sanders is a train wreck of socialist impractical promises. Some other far lefty will carry his bacon in 2020.
ALF Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I don't see how the two are necessarily exclusive. Sanders trying to split the party and lead an independent, socialist movement wouldn't have much effect on who ran for the Democrat nomination, except to draw the far lefties away. Sanders won't run (his age) will endorse Cuomo jmo
DC Tom Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Sanders won't run (his age) will endorse Cuomo jmo It'll be fun watching him campaign against Clinton...

Or maybe his ideals just don't mean helping them with his own money.

BTW shocking how little the Sanders household makes. 200K? Yikes. Edited June 14, 2017 by Benjamin Franklin

BTW shocking how little the Sanders household makes. 200K? Yikes. So because I disagree with you that he's a sincere politician, I consider him an evil villain? Nice strawman. To recap this brief exchange: He's sincere I disagree, he's in it for the votes and the money. He's an idealist who's sincere. I disagree, he's not sincere. Someone who's sincere in the ideals he espouses would give more than 4% to charity. You think he's evil and your attitude is stupid. Quality dialogue. I guess I'll sum up on a level you're more comfortable with.
DC Tom Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Just me it will be Andrew Don't tell me Chelsea Of course Chelsea. It's her turn. (Honestly, I figure her for 2028.)

I never thought I would live to see a day when so many Americans would actually think embracing socialism would be a good idea. It'll be interesting to see if the Democrat party tries to out-socialism Bernie's group, or if they actually drop some of the leftist agenda and attempt to become more pragmatic.

Nanker Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Won't happen , Andrew Cuomo will run in 2020 imo Great. They're going to run one of the key players that caused the hyper inflated real estate market crash of 2008 that triggered the worst recession since 1929. Perfect! They all want the power but Sanders is also an idealist. I give him a lot higher marks for sincerity than Trump who is in it for Trump and Clinton who sells herself out. Sanders is a train wreck of socialist impractical promises. Some other far lefty will carry his bacon in 2020. Ahhh, Sanders is Jewish. I don't think he cares for or carries any bacon. Not everyone you disagree with is an evil villain. Your attitude is the same stupidity you complain about on the left. BTW shocking how little the Sanders household makes. 200K? Yikes. When does his wife go to trial? She bilked the Catholic Church out of millions in a phony scheme that brought $millions to the college she was running (into the ground). Bernie made over $1 million in income last year. He stands to make more going forward. He's a mink coat socialist, along the lines of Al Gore being a jet-setting environmentalist with three mansions. Stay true to the cause. Stay true to the cause. Because there's money to be made in doing so. FORWARD!!!
