Oh, good! Greg Olson told Rapoport of his firing from the Jags in 2016: "Couldn't find an identity in the run game." So we decided to hire the coach that couldn't find a running identity to save the OC's job. The OC that we're interviewing tomorrow. Awesome.

That's why we hired Juan Castillo to be the run game coordinator. But I agree I'm meh on Olson as OC.

He didn't have much to work with in his day. I don't really think you need to teach Shady, Gilislee and Felton much. Uninspiring hire but to me, the RB coach is one of our least important hires.

He's yet another mediocre coach who under performs consistently. How do these guys continue to get jobs? They have some damn good agents.

A quote from the Florida Times Union when the Jags hired him:

"Oakland’s run game statistics were woeful last year. The Raiders were last in yards per game (77.5) and rushing touchdowns (four). In Skipper’s six years, the Raiders’ running game finished 21st, second, seventh, 28th, 12th and last. Oakland’s combined six-year run-game ranking was 16th in yards and 12th in yards per attempt."

not trying to be that guy, but offense is very uninspiring thus far...yuck

Castillo and Boras are very good coaches. I would prefer to have kept Kromer for OL but Castillo is very good. Who are you against and why, besides this guy?

Give him Marcus Allen and Bo Jackson and I'll bet he'd be hailed as a genius RB coach.

That's actually pretty good production for McFadden who was injured half the time and Michael Bush, with no passing game whatsoever.
