Rivers is so much better than Taylor it's not even worth discussing. But if the price to get him (assuming he'd even agree to come here) is as high as I would expect (1st and 2nd??) then I am not sure Bills should pull the trigger.

Taylor is probably a good QB to have while we continue to search for the long-term franchise QB. He's not conventionally good, but he's good enough at getting points on the board that the Bills can win some games while we find our Rogers, Brady, etc...

Why is anyone talking about Phil Rivers when its common knowledge that he can't play in the New Eralph due to the geology and latitude of the Orchard Park area and their effects on the gravitational constant? In Laidmen's terms, the guy simply cannot throw in WNY.

Yeah, you definitely don't want a QB that's going to throw for 30 TDs regardless of who you put around him. I doubt Rivers has mastered the art of handing the football off to Shady.

That was good, and so true. Coord will be struck for sure with the Tie Rod fanboys.

So they are all bad an we must never call one? The Cowboys won 13 games with their offense.

Not my point at all just a funny observation. IMO we dont use those plays enough. With Watkins talents he should be getting at least a bubble screen per game, same with McCoy and Tate

Better is a relative term. I see Rivers as a reckless gunslinger type. Once again he lead the NFL in INTs. 21 this season and 156 career INTs. The guy is a turnover machine. Taylor is not that. Pick your poison type of choice.

Better is not relative here. Rivers is better than Taylor.

Is this really an argument?

Can the Bills and Chargers swap QBs? Seeing that Lynn is the HC in LA/SD he can work with Tyrod again. I know that the Bills may have to give up other compensation, but at least LA/SD will have a competent QB to make transition

You should read my context post on the last page, especially considering your contextless 21 picks this year. Rivers has been in the league for 13(?) years and if that is right, he is averaging 12 INTs a season, take out his first two years and he averages 14 a season while averaging 28.5 passing TD's over that time and 313 career passing TD's as a starter, Tyrod has 37 passing in his career, for an average of 18.5, PR also has 5 playoff appearances to TT's 0 as a starter.

Better is not relative here. Rivers is better than Taylor.

Rivers = HOF QB

Taylor = Marginal Starter

No arguement, I was thinking the same thing about relative terms in this "arguement".

If cost is factored in I could see there being an argument (for clarity, I am not making this argument as I believe this topic is pointless). Unfortunately I do not know what Rivers' cap number would be here and I don't know what players and/or picks it would take to acquire him. I could see some people thinking we would have a better squad with Tyrod, a 1st round draft choice, and $4M more to spend of FAs than it would be with Rivers, no 1st round draft choice, and less money to fill holes.

You enjoy repeating that stat, yet for some reason you keep leaving out that he threw or 76 TDs the past 2 seasons as well. And that he threw for over 4500 yards. And his "accuracy" is a consistent 67%. I wonder why you keep leaving those out.

Also, for some reason, you give no frame of reference. For instance, you don't mention, say, a guy like Aaron Rodgers, who in his last (only) 2 years never threw for more than 3000 yards, and amazed a whopping 43 TDs vs 13 ints and had a lower YPA than Watson.

Or even a young fellow like Luck ("the Greatest Prospect of A Generation"), who cracked 3500 yards once in three seasons, and also took 3 seasons to get past 80 TDs passing (and had 18 INTS in his last 22 games---and the same career completion percentage as.......Watson!).

And then of course there is Peyton Manning, who took 4 years to throw for 80 TDs, was a career 62% passer, broke 3500 yards once and.....threw for 23 INTS in his last 23 games.

Stats are fun, no?

Peyton Manning broke 3500 yards once? Dude.
