YoloinOhio
@tompelissero I'm told Chip Kelly is at #Jaguars HQ (as @HaysCarlyon said). They've yet to announce an OC ... Edited January 16, 2017 by YoloinOhio
stony
That'll end well. Two curmudgeons (3 w/ TC) who hate dealing with the press. Surprised Marrone was told he was allowed to hire him.
YoloinOhio
@hayscarleone Source: Chip Kelly is at EverBank Field today, presumably meeting about #Jaguars offensive coordinator position. No word on potential offer. Coughlin.... marrone... Chip Put all 3 in the octagon @rapsheet #Jaguars are interviewing OC candidates and Chip Kelly is one, as @hayscarlyon said. Incumbent Nathaniel Hackett expected to get one, too.
RyanC883
this has all the makings of an incredibly fun situation to watch implode. Too many big-headed egos.
YoloinOhio
@conororr Marrone's offenses at Syracuse eventually took on a lot of what Kelly was doing at Oregon. Not as strange a pairing as one might think.
H2o
Coughlin is sabotaging Marrone before he even gets started. This is gonna be over quick.
Bad Things
Oh boy, this should be fun. <grabs popcorn>
ndirish1978
I doubt Marrone was allowed to say no to this interview. Fortunately, St. Doug's keen mind for analytics will make this a marriage sent from heaven. I imagine Chip will start off every morning bringing Doug his special shake and Coughlin his Ensure. Wayne Arnold
If Chip is hired then this has to be a reality TV show. Please make this happen, TLC.
YoloinOhio
@adamcaplanNFL Chip turned down job on Coughlin's staff with #Giants prior to taking job at Oregon.

Totally...hopefully Chip is OC with Marrone and Rob Ryan is DC in Washington. That would get me excited!!!
Mike in Syracuse
What happened to Nate Hackett?
K D
Chip might be a good OC. Just focus on the offense and not all the other stuff
YoloinOhio
@rapsheet Chip Kelly went into #Jaguars OC job interview believing he was going get an offer. Has some assistant hires ready. Good chance it happens. What happened to Nate Hackett? he is interviewing too
Miyagi-Do Karate
Smart move and probably coughlin's doing. If Dougie had his way, Hackett would be the OC.
JoeF
Geez, Marrone is not just on a short leash, its a short leash with a choker chain and a electric shock collar and Coughlin is the master.
hondo in seattle
Marrone, a former OC, isn't going to run his own offense? This could be very smart. I never got the impression that Marrone was a brilliant Xs and Os guy.

QB Bills
This sounds like a David Caldwell move, not Coughlin. Smart guy. This will be a good hire for them. Marrone will wear out his welcome within two years and Chip Kelly will take over.
