Kelly the Dog Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 And everybody has a warm fuzzy for these offensive coordinators. Andy Reid runs the offense and calls the plays. I would say each of the OCs has less than 25% to do with the success or failure.
Augie Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I used to argue this with people who would tell me they were tougher because they played rugby. Rugby is tough, but football puts people in more unique positions to get hurt. Rugby has a bunch of guys running around chasing the ball carrier. Football presents the opportunity for two people to blindly collide at full speed with a running start. More chances of moving objects colliding with stationary objects in football. No one in rugby is as vulnerable as a receiver in football running over the middle. I can't even count how many ER trips we took. Rugby will hurt you. Badly! But football can cripple you. It's different for sure.
TheFunPolice Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) You need players  Alex Smith is a rich man's Andy Dalton.  Hell win you 11 or 12 games then lose almost every time in the playoffs   Awwww at least broken families have a Toyota commercial Edited January 16, 2017 by TheFunPolice
PromoTheRobot Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Andy Reid runs the offense and calls the plays. I would say each of the OCs has less than 25% to do with the success or failure. Â So how does anyone know if these guys are good?
stevewin Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 If the Chiefs hold them to three and out and they get the ball back at mid field - if that happens they will end up kicking game winning FG with no time left
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Patriots are about to win their 5th Super Bowl and they advance to the game without a real challenge Relax. The Pats have choked in the Super Bowl, and on their way to it plenty of times. They look unbeatable all regular season, but we've seen a different story in the post season.
bobobonators Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Â So how does anyone know if these guys are good? Well Childress isn't new. Watching Bell is water torture. If I was a KC fan i'd be frantically yelling at the TV to drill the guy.
chris heff Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Why would we want any coach that has anything to do with this offense?
Kelly the Dog Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 So how does anyone know if these guys are good? Childress has a long, long resume.
Augie Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Â Â Don't underestimate the violence of rugby though. I could go on for pages about some very gruesome stuff. Death was unlikely (with the exception of one fractured skull which you could hear from 50 yards away).
Nitro Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Play action I missed seeing a team run play action deep in their end of the field.
Augie Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Childress has a long, long resume. Long of tooth?
Dragonborn10 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 No matter the outcome, Reid is an awful game manager. Down 8 and snapping the ball with 1 second on the clock. Always has sucked at clock management.
jeffismagic Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Childress is great offensive coach. Fans read the craziest things into games like this.
The Frankish Reich Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 You know how everyone says "what good is it being like the Chiefs, one and done every year?" I DON'T CARE. I would love to see the Bills in this situation. Even if they (the Chiefs) lose in the divisional/wildcard round.
Augie Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I missed most of the first game, unfortunately, but today has lived up to the hype!
The Frankish Reich Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Oh well. Steelers = best chance to avoid a Pats Super Bowl win.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 No matter the outcome, Reid is an awful game manager. Down 8 and snapping the ball with 1 second on the clock. Always has sucked at clock management. NFL coaches in general suck at a lot. It really all depends if they have the players to bail them out. Reid doesn't. For example hated McCarthys slow developing run call that knocked the Packers out of field goal range on the Packs last drive. For a team with no run game it made no sense to not put the game on Rodgers. The call was awful, yet Rodgers bailed him out. Alex Smith can't bail anyone out.
