26CornerBlitz Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) @jeffzrebiecsun Juan Castillo will be heading to the Buffalo Bills to work on Sean McDermott's staff as OL coach/run game coordinator. Edited January 13, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz
elroy16 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) @AdamShhefter Sean McDermott's likely OC in Buffalo is former Jacksonville OC Greg Olson, per source. #Bills looking to finalize deal later today. https://twitter.com/AdamShhefter/status/819652432196145157 Edit: Fake account, my bad. Thank God. Edited January 12, 2017 by elroy16
MAJBobby Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Gotta admit i know nothing about Castillo. Anyone? Edited January 12, 2017 by MAJBobby
Kelly the Dog Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 @jeffzrebiecsun Juan Castillo will be heading to the Buffalo Bills to work on Sean McDermott's staff as OL coach/run game coordinator. UGH. We needed to keep Kromer. It doesn't seem reasonable that Kromer would stay.
thebandit27 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Castillo is an excellent OL coach--he can get the most out of what he's given.
MAJBobby Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Castillos positions As player: San Antonio Gunslingers (1984-1985) As coach: Texas A&M UniversityKingsville (1982-1985) (Defensive line/linebackers coach) Kingsville High School (1986-1989) (Linebackers coach/defensive coordinator) Texas A&M UniversityKingsville (1990-1994) (Offensive line coach) Philadelphia Eagles (1995-1996) (Offensive assistant) Philadelphia Eagles (1997) (Tight ends coach) Philadelphia Eagles (1998-2010) (Offensive line coach) Philadelphia Eagles (2011-2012) (Defensive coordinator) Baltimore Ravens (2013) (Run game coordinator) Baltimore Ravens (2014-present) (Offensive line coach) I do like he has worked both sides of the Ball.

BaaadThingsMan Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 !@#$ Olson, please don't let that guy near this place or they are !@#$ed
Coach Tuesday Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 This is the dude who switched from OL coach to D-coordinator with the Eagles (or vice versa), right?
thebandit27 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 This is the dude who switched from OL coach to D-coordinator with the Eagles (or vice versa), right? Correct...and it was an abject failure Great OL coach though
Kelly the Dog Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Castillo is an excellent OL coach--he can get the most out of what he's given. He was a solid OL coach for a lot of years. The DC thing was just bizarre and I don't hold that against him. We could do a lot worse but I still would rather keep Kromer. This probably means that Lynn is not coming back although that is not a given. It implies, but doesn't prove, that McDermott knows who the OC is going to be, and that's not a good sign for McCoy, IMO. But that is total conjecture. Edited January 12, 2017 by Kelly the Dog
Big Turk Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Gotta admit i know nothing about Castillo. Anyone? I know he switched to defense coordinator for a season or two from offensive line and he was terrible...
Maddog69 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Interestingly, Castillo became Philly's DC after McDermott left. He was only DC for a year and then moved back to the Offensive side of the ball.
billieve420 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Olsen is a pretty uninspiring hire. His teams has been mediocre at best. I am hoping we don't take a step back offensively next year. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/OlsoGr0.htm
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Castillo sounds good. Color me unimpressed if it is indeed Olson. Pretty spotty record.

Hmmm didnt know he was OC for Oakland when they drafted Carr wonder how much input he had with Carr selection Castillo sounds good. Color me unimpressed if it is indeed Olson. Pretty spotty record. Wonder how much input he has into the Carr selection in Oakland?
