reddogblitz Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Strictly to screw Marrone He doesn't need the help.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Just saw this on Twitter from Dan Fetes (Rochester sports reporter): ------------------- Sean McDermott: [taps the microphone] "Is this thing on?" Terry Pegula: "Get out." When I heard that it was a flash back to Rex, luckily it was a legit question instead of a set up for " cuz it's about to be"
26CornerBlitz Posted January 13, 2017 Author Posted January 13, 2017 Watch: Sean McDermott's Full Introductory Presser (30:35) Watch as new Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott is introduced as the 20th head coach in franchise history. 5 things we learned from Sean McDermott's press conference The 20th head coach in Bills history was introduced to Bills fans on Friday. Here are some of the more important takeaways from Friday’s press conference.
reddogblitz Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 He also though EJ was going to be good. And Tuel Time.
FLFan Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Checking in late so I'm sorry if this was already covered, but I thought it was hilarious that they totally ignored TBN until the very end of that PC. Jerry and Bucky must have been doing a slow burn. Great theater.
ndirish1978 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 No they didn't I think Vic Carucci got like the 3rd question didn't they? Jerry was definitely left for later on purpose though
Jukester Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) While most of this was the usual cliches, i really like this guy's demeanor. He thinks before he speaks, no braggadocio, and seems very methodical. Liked that he said he drills technique. If Gilmore stays, maybe he can teach him to tackle properly instead of throwing his shoulder at people. Oh and i don't think i heard a single 'obviously.' As far as the press, no one asked the only question i needed an answer on: What's your philosophy on 4th down from the opponent's 40? Edited January 13, 2017 by Jukester
yungmack Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Pegulas. I heard him hit his rhythm. When he said to ( Vic? ) I don't understand the question. i felt he had the room I think it was Leo Roth. And McD did not seem pleased. His tone of voice suggested it was a stupid question and he'd remember the reporter's name and maybe never take another question from him until the end of time.
reddogblitz Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I also like that he said he's not a 4-3 or 3-4 guy. He believes in fitting the scheme to the players, not the players to the scheme. We'll see. I've head Coach Marrone, Rex, and Chip Kelly all say the same thing.
papazoid Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 wow.....coach McDermott just sent me and 60,000 of my fellow STH a special message
The Wiz Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 wow.....coach McDermott just sent me and 60,000 of my fellow STH a special message What did it say?
26CornerBlitz Posted January 13, 2017 Author Posted January 13, 2017 @DannySpewakWGRZ Do you have 46 seconds to spare? Here, watch every single Bills introductory press conference since 1986, starting with Marv Levy. @WGRZ https://twitter.com/i/videos/tweet/820035279268483077
The Wiz Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 it was a dick pic Brett Farveing it. Nice. @DannySpewakWGRZ Do you have 46 seconds to spare? Here, watch every single Bills introductory press conference since 1986, starting with Marv Levy. @WGRZ https://twitter.com/i/videos/tweet/820035279268483077 Not sure if that's meant to be inspiring or a shot at all the HC's.
John from Riverside Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 We'll see. I've head Coach Marrone, Rex, and Chip Kelly all say the same thing. Agreed....but I think it is fair to say that the Bills mgt was careful to pick a guy this time that wont ask to change the D scheme That is the single biggest disaster of the last 2 years
FireChan Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Agreed....but I think it is fair to say that the Bills mgt was careful to pick a guy this time that wont ask to change the D scheme That is the single biggest disaster of the last 2 years He IS changing the defensive scheme.
Mike in Horseheads Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I just watched the presser. Who knows what 2017 season will bring but it was refreshing to hear a guy thats sincere, talks calmly, and seems actively involved and has a plan. Instead of the previous coach that just loudly said we're going to the playoffs! Don't get me wrong I was gungho too after Rex's presser but the difference this time is Sean seems like he's going to work and not out looking to be a great guy. It also seemed he and Doug get along fine, haven't seen that in 2 years. ...We can only go up from here guys.
