Chef Jim
Trip was good thanks. Pretty boring time of year as usual. And no snow!! So we didn't ski. We just went to E'ville and had lunch with dad which was just fine withe me.
ExiledInIllinois
Trip was good thanks. Pretty boring time of year as usual. And no snow!! So we didn't ski. We just went to E'ville and had lunch with dad which was just fine withe me. Glad you had great time... Big snow is coming this weekend for WNY, Lakes. You gotta a ton up in Squaw Valley... Something like 15' of snow... Yes 15 FEET this month alone and only over 150 miles from you... That is where I would be!! Like we were Christmas 2015 when we flew into SF and drove up. They gotta have ski trains from Bay Area to Truckee/Tahoe. Driving is hairy through the pass. Planning had to be impeccable dodging the "Pineapple Express" weather patterns that were rolling through. We took no chances with the rental 4x4 and picked up chains in Sacramento (rentals won't give you chains). This past Christmas was Denver and 155 mile drive to Steamboat... That was a treat, Champagne powder on Christmas and 100% open before New Years! The West is seeing a string of good years! Oops... That was advice, wasn't it? ;-)
