D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I love this guy. Hope he is not someone we missed on and that he really needed more seasoning.
K D Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I remember when Lane Kiffin was a young up and coming HC too. Why not give these guys a few years to prove themselves and gain experience?
transient Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I love this guy. Hope he is not someone we missed on and that he really needed more seasoning. No amount of seasoning will mask the taste of genetic inferiority. Freakin' ginger.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 @TomPelissero Sources: Sean McVay had a second meeting with the #Rams. Interviewed for head coaching job last week. Why would they interview those three and then hire a mere upstart like McVay? (note: we need a Sar Chasm emoticon)
26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 @AlbertBreer McVay's ongoing second interview with the Rams is happening in Los Angeles, btw. Coaching carousel spinning a little faster today.

Why would they interview those three and then hire a mere upstart like McVay? Maybe they don't read the BN in larger markets. PS I nominate a Jerry Sullivan gif for the sarcasm emoticon.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 @AdamSchefter If Sean McVay lands the Rams' HC job, his top option for DC would be Broncos DC Wade Phillips, per league sources.
Zulu Cthulhu Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) What is the guy like 30? Good luck rams Yes 30 - would become youngest HC ever hired, beating Kiffin by about 2 years. Edited January 11, 2017 by Zulu Cthulhu

I nominate Jerry Sullivan for the steaming pile of dung emot.
dezertbill Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Lots of first time HC opportunities being offered. Looks like the league is taking a break from the retread pile.
Helpmenow Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Lots of first time HC opportunities being offered. Looks like the league is taking a break from the retread pile. About time
PromoTheRobot Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 @AlbertBreer McVay's ongoing second interview with the Rams is happening in Los Angeles, btw. Coaching carousel spinning a little faster today. And the Bills get their guy early rather than late. Is that good?
mob16151 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 No amount of seasoning will mask the taste of genetic inferiority. Freakin' ginger. Irony?
Mr. WEO Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 What is the guy like 30? Good luck rams What could go wrong? Essentially zero experience. Crappy team. No serviceable QB. He'll be fine.

Being on successful teams hurts the HC chances of those coordinators. Nobody wants to wait until after the SB to hire a HC and attempt to fill out a coaching staff. The coach would be picking from everybody else's leftovers.
