2020 Our Year For Sure Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 On his brother's advice? Certainly not on mine! Very interesting.

2020 Our Year For Sure Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Actually the article indicates that he will not be OC: Even if the Ravens bring in Roman, Marty Mornhinweg is still expected to remain their offensive coordinator. Although, Roman would give them an option to turn to during the season if the offense continues to struggle.
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Actually the article indicates that he will not be OC: ah you are right! He's coming in as "run game specialist" and since morninweh is on the hot seat they anticipate he will replace him in due time.

Dorkington Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) He designs good plays, but doesn't call a great game, so this makes sense to me. Edited January 11, 2017 by Dorkington

Buftex Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I thought I heard that Roman was going to Cleveland to be their "passing game co-ordinator"
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 I thought I heard that Roman was going to Cleveland to be their "passing game co-ordinator"he was in discussion with Michigan to be their passing game coordinator to replace Jedd Fish but they hired Pep Hamilton... then there was word Cleveland might hire him to replace Pep as their OC. Looks like Denver won the Roman sweepstakes.
MAJBobby Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Good hirr for them. He will improve that offense if allowed by Marty

Maybe even the Super Bowl team?
Big Turk Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Didn't the Ravens do this a few years ago? Replace the OC mid season? Maybe even the Super Bowl team? Yeah I believe Cam Cameron was involved...can't remember if he was the replacement or the replacee...
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Didn't the Ravens do this a few years ago? Replace the OC mid season? Maybe even the Super Bowl team?Yes. They also did it this year. Morninweh was a midseason replacement for Marc Trestman who was just fired in October. Lots of leaks out of Baltimore that Morninweg was to be fired already, but looks like they will just give him a gentle nudge out the door. Yeah I believe Cam Cameron was involved...can't remember if he was the replacement or the replacee... Cam Cameron was replaced with Jim Caldwell
Uffalo Ills Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 lol he went from future head coach to this? ouch.
jimmy10 Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 lol he went from future head coach to this? ouch. If Saint Doug can bounce back from such a loss of face, anyone can.
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 @adamschefter Former Bills OC Greg Roman is joining Baltimore's staff, per league source. Final duties still being ironed out, but he'll be with Ravens.
buffaloboyinATL Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 He's good as long as he doesn't have to actually call the plays. Funny how quickly the shine can come off someone. He was considered a head coach candidate two years ago
