We are currently slated to have $25.9 mil in cap space for 2017, with 42 players signed. With roughly $3-4 million set aside for rookie pool, we effectively have roughly $22 mil in space.

If we do not pick up the Tyrod option, that available cap space jumps to $38 mil.

Releasing/retirement of the following players saves us another $17.6 mil:

Kyle Williams(it sucks but is probably the right move)

Aaron Williams(retirement)

Corey Graham(not worth the money)

Dan Carpenter(too expensive)

Marcus Easley(too expensive)

Patrick Lewis(too expensive)

Seantrel Henderson(too many questions; not that great anyway)

That gets us to 55.6 mil in space with the only real loss of production being Kyle Williams(maybe they can restructure?). That is a lot of space to head into FA with.

It is a great amount of room we have - I'd imagine a Kyle Williams restructure if he's enthused with new coach. I don't know the status of Tyrod yet obviously, but I would assume he is gone. I would also assume we part ways with all of the other guys on the list - maybe keep graham but I could see his release.

Plenty of room to offer to safeties on the market: tony Jefferson, doubt berry is available, maybe the kid from Jacksonville if they let him walk

RT - slim pickings unless people get released. Might have to use the draft to address this or go TBDs favorite idea of movingly CK to left tackle and Glenn to RT

WR - maybe deSean Jackson? Maclin might be a cap casualty in KC? I'd like to keep Bob Woods because he is a tremendous blocker and can be a decent number 3 in an upgraded WR corps

CB - bye bye Gilmore?? Don't know what's out there haven't done much research

Leaves us the big question on QB - I favor drafting Mahomes - and obviously signing a vet...but hate all vet options out there.

Lots of options for us to improve in key areas

WR: I think DeSean Jackson here makes alot of sense, especially with McCoy here.

Sammy Watkins

DeSean Jackson

Justin Hunter

Rookie WR

Listenbee

CB: Captain Munnerlyn(UFA) played under McDermott at Carolina. Other options who will be cheaper include Morris Claiborne(was having a very good year before injury), Prince Amurakamara, AJ Bouye; I think they will franchise Gilmore though.

S: Nate Allen, Jahlil Addae, Matt Elam, Tony Jefferson, DJ Swearinger, Quinton Demps, and Jonathan Cyprien are all options and upgrades IMO.

RT: Ricky Wagner, maybe Andrew Whitworth if he will move to RT and doesn't retire

This year it really isn't...it might be average or even slightly below average...there are teams out there with over $100 million in cap space and several others with more than $80 million

May i ask where you are getting your numbers?

And no that still isnt alot of space after the cuts because you still have to get to 51 (53 eventually)

Even with the option not getting picked up for TT the Bills are cap tight this year
