26CornerBlitz Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) @RapSheet #Michigan wanted Greg Roman for their passing game coordinator job. Now he's a candidate to replace Pep Hamilton with the Browns Edited January 25, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz
Kelly the Dog Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 First, obviously there is the Harbaugh connection but Roman is known as a running game guy. Why would they want him for their passing game coordinator. And second, it just doesn't seem like Roman is a Hue Jackson type guy. Granted, when you are the head coach maybe he just wants a creative offensive mind to help carry out his vision, as Harbaugh did, and it worked for awhile in both college and the pros. Iirc Roman was a coach when Luck was at Stanford but wasn't in charge of the offense.

Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hue Jackson should have been our coach. Smart man. Nice staff there in Cleveland.

Dirtbag Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 is passing game coordinator ranked above or below quarterback whisperer?
26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 @MaryKayCabot Hearing Greg Roman to the #Ravens. He was on the #Browns radar as top offensive assistant to replace Pep Hamilton
BrooklynBills Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 @MaryKayCabot Hearing Greg Roman to the #Ravens. He was on the #Browns radar as top offensive assistant to replace Pep Hamilton Interesting. Harbaugh had said that he would make no coordinator changes. So unless they are firing Marty Morninghweg, he is coming in as a position coach. Maybe they are firing OL coach Juan Castillo, who I could see winding up here in the same role.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 @alexmarvez I'm told Greg Roman may be accepting @ravens coaching offer but still working on finalizing details @sn_nfl
FireChan Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Let's leave the breaking news to the experts like Yolo and myself.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Yep. Running game coordinator? @RapSheet After days of hashing it out, Greg Roman has agreed to terms with the #Ravens officially. No title yet, heavy involvement in the run game
Kelly the Dog Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Sure looks like he landed on his feet. "Senior Assistant Tight Ends Coach." Jamison Hensley Verified account @jamisonhensley Greg Roman will have the title of senior assistant tight end coach with Ravens. Current tight end coach Richard... http://es.pn/2jco4kY

nucci Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Senior assistant TE coach...what a title......is there a jr assistant...is there just a regular assistant?
FLFan Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Wow. It sounds like he would rather be the water boy in Baltimore than OC in Cleveland. I bet Cleveland is glad the Browns are not a dumpster fire like the Bills.
