Why do people care about an end of season presser that is just going to be full of canned answers anyway. It is a waste of time and doesn't give any real information.

Seems like the issue for the Bills is that Terry Pegula is not interested in the "face of the franchise" ownership responsibilities. Which is fine, but then he needs someone who will take on that role. The current setup is not doing anyone any favors.

As long as Pegula is making "executive decisions" about major football operations issues, no one really can take on the "face of the franchise" role for him. There will always be questions the spokesperson can't really answer, not having been "privy to the conversation". In an ideal world they should be able to provide more information than Whaley did, but no one can fully substitute for the guy really "stopping the buck"

IMHO the problem isn't so much that Pegula is not interested in the "face of the franchise" responsibilities, it's that he's interested in making "executive decisions" about major football operations issues WHILE being disinterested in being the "face of the franchise" responsibilities.
