Big C Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 I think that he led helmet first, so it's a penalty. But I don't think he was going to hit Moore in the head first. I think that happened because Moore lowered his head to throw it sidearmed. Yeah, looked like he was trying to go shoulder to shoulder but happened to hit head to head. Close, but technically illegal.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Yeah really smart getting a 15 yard penalty for being a kitty. Smart is one thing but being pussies after Williams got crushed turned the tide in that game
mannc Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Going back already? How could he "pass all the tests" already? i have no idea. I actually thought he might be dead.
dave mcbride Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 One of the problems with the nfl is that they don't throw dupree out of the game (i don't care if moore is returning). The nfl without qbs is garbage to watch, and dupree totally led with his helmet in an untirely unnecessary cheap shot.
KD in CA Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Hit him in the chin, bad hit. Sometimes they call violent things that are not actually penalties. Remember Bradham getting ejected at FSU for a clean hit? That's the problem with the 'throw them out' mentality. And even the trend to throw PF flags at any hard hit (this has reached epidemic proportions in college).
EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 This is why CTE is prevelanf in former NFL players
Big C Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 That hold might've saved moores life For sure. This is why Moore was happy as backup haha. Also, looks like Bud Dupree has arrived.
NoSaint Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 That's the problem with the 'throw them out' mentality. And even the trend to throw PF flags at any hard hit (this has reached epidemic proportions in college). I'd be good with ejections but being reviewable
dave mcbride Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 I'd be good with ejections but being reviewable Yes, and that should have been an ejection. That play pissed me off. Hate seeing that.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Smart is one thing but being pussies after Williams got crushed turned the tide in that game But you just used a horrible, horrible example to prove that point.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 But you just used a horrible, horrible example to prove that point. Pardon?
Augie Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 For sure. This is why Moore was happy as backup haha. Also, looks like Bud Dupree has arrived. No kidding, he's smarter than Fitz!
Rico Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Ajayi tougher than any bills defender Yep. Please put Landry in a hospital bed.
Big C Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 This is why CTE is prevelanf in former NFL players CTE happens mostly from repeated small hits. Unfortunately it's part of the game and we are all complicit.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 But you just used a horrible, horrible example to prove that point. Better to prove a point even if it hurts your team in a playoff game. Smart!
Kelly the Dog Posted January 8, 2017 Author Posted January 8, 2017 Pardon? Ajayi walked into a scrum, after players were already in a B word and push fest, and took a swipe at a Steeler that was a blatant penalty but did zero to get back at the Steelers for the hit on Moore. That was the worst possible reaction. If he blasted someone it would have been different.
dave mcbride Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 CTE happens mostly from repeated small hits. Unfortunately it's part of the game and we are all complicit. Big, dirty hits like that are actually worse for you, but yes, you are correct about the cumulative issue.
