\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Snow flurries forecast for tomorrow morning: http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2017/01/05/crews-treating-roadways-in-preparation-for-winter-weather/
Saxum Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 In Northern Virginia as well with closing of activities with forecast of a mere dusting. Imagine Revolutionary War plans cancelled because there was potential ice in river as Washington crossed the Delaware. It is part of the wimping of the country with large populations moving south to areas barely livable before air conditioning.
CowgirlsFan Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 HILARIOUS just HILARIOUS! No panic here in DeCordova Bend Estates near Granbury Texas, appears it will miss me.
Captain_Quint Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Charleston as well. I will loot at the first sight of frost.
CowgirlsFan Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Charleston as well. I will loot at the first sight of frost. Closest thing I could loot would be two to five miles away, just not worth it.
Captain_Quint Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Closest thing I could loot would be two to five miles away, just not worth it. Youd lose steam. The best looting is reactionary, and happens fast.
Augie Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) Atlanta. 2-4 inches possible. DOOMED! I stopped at Publix earlier, couldn't get a parking spot, then they were out of carts. Lines were ridiculous! I had just left the tennis courts! Didn't understand the panic! It's my fault, I make a basketball pilgrimage/drive to Cincinnati every year and have been slammed so often, this year I made plane to fly out early tomorrow knowing a strom would come.... You're welcome! Edited January 6, 2017 by Augie
Saxum Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I get beer and pretzels when it is about to snow; I am too logical.
DC Tom Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 In Northern Virginia as well with closing of activities with forecast of a mere dusting. Imagine Revolutionary War plans cancelled because there was potential ice in river as Washington crossed the Delaware. It is part of the wimping of the country with large populations moving south to areas barely livable before air conditioning. I can excuse some of the panic in the DC area. You've got people from all over the world here, many from places that have never seen snow. I think it's a bit much to expect a Bangladeshi diplomat to not go a little bit nuts the first time he sees snow. Doesn't make it any less funny, though. And I'll confess, I left work early today to avoid not the weather so much as the idiots driving in it. People at work were snickering at me..."I thought you could drive in snow!" "I can. But I can't drive in stupid."
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Heh I didn't even know snow was coming. Woke up this morning, "oh! Snow!"
plenzmd1 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Our local weather bunny actually said" go to the grocery today and get your supplies for 3 days"....we are getting 3 inches of snow1
Helpmenow Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) i hope to get 6"i bet you do Edited January 6, 2017 by Helpmenow
