26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 @sn_nfl Chris Berman out as face of ESPN's NFL coverage after this year http://dlvr.it/N2hlqJ
Luxy312 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Berman will be missed. I may stop watching those other no talent ass clowns completely on the pre-game.
BaaadThingsMan Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Meh, haven't watched those idiots or any of the others for years anyways.
I'm Spartacus Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Berman was always a big Bflo Bills supporter, but I think even he has had enough of them.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 @ESPNNFL Thank you, Chris Berman, for all the years as QB of our NFL team. http://es.pn/2iFGVE8 Good riddance. So. Not back, back, back, back.......Gone!
Chandler#81 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Love him and going to miss him! ESPN just lost another viewer. Farewell, Chris!
sullim4 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 ESPN is in trouble... they paid way too much for things like the NBA and MNF and are hemorrhaging subscribers. I actually just dropped ESPN and went to the "Select" package on DirecTV as I don't watch it anymore. All I need is Sunday Ticket from a sports perspective... I don't watch the NBA and don't watch college sports. I think the real story here is that they didn't offer enough money to Berman such that he'd be willing to work full-time... and so they are going to put cheaper talent in his place in a cost cutting move.
Coach Tuesday Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Thank goodness. His act is hoakey and tired, plus he disgusts me after all of those harassment rumors came out...
Marv's Neighbor Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I will miss him. He always had a good word for BUF. ESPN is on the rocks, maybe he'll go with the networks? I rather listen to him than Solomon Willcots.
Marty McFly Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 That sucks. Was it NFL primetime in the 90s that Berman used to narrate the highlights of? That **** was classic.
Peter Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 If you are a Buffalo Bills fan, it is hard to not view this as a side day. Chris Berman always took an interest in Buffalo and the Bills. It was great having him around. It is too bad that, in the past 17 years, we have not been as successful as when he started to take an interest in our team and the years after.
papazoid Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 he lost his only inside source with the recent passing of a legendary buffalo cab driver.
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Fond memories of the heyday of the show. He will be missed. He got lost when they added way to many talking heads and it turned more into a debate it seemed as opposed to a informative show. Will miss him
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 he lost his only inside source with the recent passing of a legendary buffalo cab driver. He's waiting for Buffalo to get with it so he can get tweets from Uber and Lyft drivers.

Hmmm - there must be differences in the packages by region / area. The "Select" package in Columbus does not offer Sunday Ticket. Have to go to the "Choice" package.
Dragonborn10 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Haven't watched a pregame or post-game show in years. ESPN is unwatchable with nothing but people screaming at each other to get some camera time.
ALLEN1QB Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Who cares We may now make the playoffs next year
dpberr Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) He didn't meet the quota for incoherent wrestler voice shouting on the broadcast. ESPN is tailoring its programming towards the younger generation - that doesn't watch television. Bad move. The generation that happens to keep television around is seeing all the people it likes and knows replaced by poorly trained television personalities/former NFL players. I watched a mid-80s CBS broadcast of THE NFL TODAY the other night that had Brent Musburger, Dick Butkus with some awesome hair and Irv Cross for in studio commentary. It was Masterpiece Theater in comparison to today's shows. No yelling, no lifetime stories and bonafide real analysis. Edited January 5, 2017 by dpberr
