The Deep State War Heats Up

Recommended Posts

from my perspective, both Wall Street and the MIC are driven by greed and power, but the main difference is the MIC requires an enemy to instill fear and justify its flow of trillions of dollars. After the fall of the USSR, defense $ declined under Clinton. 9-11 provided the excuse to declare "war on terrorism" rather than treat it as a police action--war = big $. Now, we also "need" to upgrade our nuclear arsenal because those pesky Russians are a threat to democracies everywhere...

Wall Street profits by issuing paper, so their motive is simply to reduce the restrictions/regulations that restrict its ability to issue more paper or from entering new markets. The only "conspiracy" is that it owns the entity that provides bailouts when needed.

And everyone else is driven by their good intentions...

From KURT SCHLICHTER:

This Is A Coup Against Our Right To Govern Ourselves.

“The blizzard of lies and distraction blowing through Washington is not just any routine stuffstorm, but a calculated attempt to bring down a president – the president, not the establishment’s president.

And more than that, it’s an attempt to ensure that we never again have the ability to disrupt the bipartisan D.C. cabal’s permanent supremacy by inserting a chief executive who refuses to kiss their collective Reid.

This is a coup against us. It’s a coordinated campaign by liberals and their allies in the bureaucracy and media to once and for all ensure their perpetual rule over us.

We need to fight it, here and now, so we don’t have to fight it down at the bottom of this slippery slope.”

Hard to argue against

Russia’s government is mocking the mainstream media for being “too busy” to cover the murder last year of a Democratic National Committee staffer, peddling a storyline the staffer’s family has discounted as a conspiracy theory.

Russia’s embassy in the United Kingdom used its Twitter account to criticize the media for its coverage of “Wikileaks informer Seth Rich.”

Sometimes **** just happens, you know.

Absolutely.

And sometimes it happens because of reasons not covered by the mainstream media or history...

That door swings both ways.

It is difficult to argue against and is something the left is completely missing while chasing collusion charges (after the "hacking" meme didn't work).

Just like with the expansion of the surveillance state, which many on the left sat back and allowed to expand under Obama because 'a good guy was at the controls', there's a shocking lack of foresight being displayed.

The "attack on our democracy" isn't coming from Moscow. It's coming from inside our own country, in the form of unelected IC officials trying to dictate policy for the masses. Regime change and empire building is far more important to these folks than a functioning democratic republic.

To the unelected men and women who truly dictate this nation's agendas.

They want to preserve the empire at the expense of the country. This is clear to anyone paying attention.

And they had Seth Rich murdered???

QUESTION ASKED — AND ANSWERED:

Convincing your gullible flock that we live in a republic easily annexed by a rickety former superpower is not putting your country above your party.

David Harsanyi:

To see the world from this prism, Time magazine visualizes the Kremlinizing of White House. The magazine’s newest cover merges St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral with the White House (the substance of the feature doesn’t even really reflect the cover).

The true “constitutional crisis” is the concerted effort to “resist” or undermine the “norm” of a peaceful transfer of power after election
.

— Randy Barnett (@RandyEBarnett) May 18, 2017

One wonders what the reaction would be if a major magazine had run a cover of the White House conflated into an Iranian mosque while Barack Obama was sending pallets of cash to the Islamic Republic? Of course, that cover would have been hysterical—and not in a funny way. Simply because the former president believed that appeasing the Iranians was in the strategic interests of the United States doesn’t make him treasonous, just a terrible president. Not the first, or last.

Does putting your country above party mean never being skeptical of the intentions of an
intelligence community—one that has lied to the American people repeatedly over the years—that is trying to overturn an election?

The Party always comes first, comrade.

ANDREW KLAVAN: A Win for the Deep State.

Nothing against the integrity or honesty of former FBI head Robert Mueller, but as we saw with the investigation into the absurdly trivial Valerie Plame affair during the W. administration, a virtually untouchable prosecutor and a staff of hungry, ambitious youngsters looking for a big score is a destructive combination. We can expect months or years of fevered headlines and speculation, all of it serving to paralyze tremulous Republicans and thus hamper the Trump agenda.

Congratulations to those who seek to undermine the results of a fair and square election. I’m old enough to remember when Democrats found that idea “horrifying” but I guess things have changed since then. Life comes at you fast.

The Media-Dem-State Complex used its patented Hysterical Wave™ technique to achieve its goal: a poorly substantiated media story from an anonymous Deep State source followed by echo-chamber histrionics from Democrats, then, just as the public catches on to one scam, a new poorly substantiated story followed by more histrionics and so on.

Just as example...........26CornerBlitz latest rumor post

The Left keeps using this technique because it keeps working.

hard to believe there isn't plausibly something to the story, whether it matters is something different

if they fail to deliver on this one it will entrench the Trump voters even more....

There is much more to the story. But it's not about Russian influence.

Look at what Gowdy (bias alert) had to say yesterday. Pay attention to the last bit of the interview:

He all but says what's been argued in this thread since January: the enemy isn't foreign. It's domestic.

"You're very perceptive."

I loved that too. I am not Gowdy's biggest fan, but on this issue he's been one of the few that's actually tried to speak the truth to the people.

But he's so tainted politically that he's easy to ignore if you're on the other side of the political spectrum.

It's also interesting he effectively said he didn't want the FBI job not just because he doesn't think his confirmation process would be smooth (and the people deserve a FBI head who is universally trusted) but he also hinted he didn't want the job because it would mean the FBI taking on all of DC... in other words, he knew it would be a losing fight he'd have to wage.

Gowdy's a partisan, but he's smart. I'm much more a fan of Martha MacCallum.

Seems like we're tilting into right-ring conspiracy territory, which is a shame considering the OP and the legitimate theories and motivations worth exploring. The last 10 pages or so kinda outed the overall theme for what it is, or has become IMO.

Really a lot of good stuff in here though. Appreciate it.

It's tilting right wing to point out that both sides are being whipped into a frenzy for purposes of distraction?

The OP in this thread lays out the case that the true power in this country is wielded by unelected forces who are currently at war with one another.

That hasn't changed. It's merely intensified.

I'm not trying to insult you or your stuff here. As I said, I've enjoyed reading and participating. You have a lot of points I agree with. But when you can boil the argument down (not yours precisely, understand, but the overall arc of the DS theory from what I've gathered elsewhere) to the IC, Democratic politicians, and liberal media outlets working to overthrow Trump via a 'fake' Russian connection, with (for the most part) conservative media and Republican politicians serving as the last bastion against global hegemony, it's ultimately become a partisan debate. As much as you'll resist calling it that, I think I'm far enough removed to give it a fair appraisal and call it how I see it.
